While the wealthy pay $250,000 for a private jet out of Dubai, Israeli strikes are displacing “hundreds of thousands of people this week, in a near-repeat of the humanitarian crisis triggered by Israel’s last offensive against Hizbollah ..”

$217 billion a year is enough to reverse Trump's Medicaid and SNAP cuts AND fund the enhanced premium tax credits that Trump let expire.

Half a million displaced in a country of approx. 5.9 million. The majority have been displaced multiple times. People are sleeping in the streets.
It is Ramadan. People can't check on family b/c they know Israel is weaponizing phones & internet.
This is layers of physical & psychological warfare.

This is likely part of the reason why Bahrain has been targeted very hard (there are other reasons too). Iran knew the US was responsible and that the strike had come from Bahrain. There were not 1, not 2, but THREE strikes on this school of little girls x.com/humeyra_pamu...

Made in America: Shrapnel in Yemen ties US bombs to civilian deaths
Bomb fragments found in Yemen link US-made weapons to a string of civilian deaths over the course of the war.
The US bombed schools in Yemen. There were entire investigations and reports about it. Yet, it feels like every morning, people’s memories get wiped and the reality of this country is replaced by the imaginary one that they need to believe in. It’s ridiculous.

I learned to cook in Italy, working as an au pair in a family with a cook/housekeeper. The whole morning was taken up with preparing the afternoon meal, starting with shopping in the markets at 7 am and making the pasta by hand. It's Grazia's stern exacting voice I hear when I cook with Marcella

is it the amount? braising meat (pork especially) in milk is an Italian speciality. Marcella's maiale al latte (pork loin braised in milk) is amazing. I also always follow her recipes exactly (and hear a stern Italian woman's voice in my head if I contemplate a substitution)
