I don't ever want to hear that it's wrong to call them Nazis again.
I don't ever want to hear that it's wrong to call them Nazis again.
Boy that was a hard lesson to learn. Growing up in a very "conservative" house i thought we had principles & values, nope we were all just knee jerk reactionaries with zero ability to articulate a policy or position other than "I want" or "what about white people" or "change is bad" blah blah blah
You realize plenty of suburbs have playgrounds
Yes I do, but many are not accessible by kids without being driven to them because of location and dangerous roads. Many are not accessible to kids without parental supervision, especially non-white kids because we now over police kids, again especially non-white kids.
And yet they continue to pass car centric laws making this nearly impossible, they ban kids from playing unsupervised, and criminalize kids every chance they get. #Irony
Rather than bombing the people of Iran, I propose we get a big field and have the Basij from Iran And the Proud Boys from the US, and let them beat the shit out of each other and we just call it a day!
Exactly! Sports venues are another of my gripes. If I am out all day on My bicycle or public transit, I tend to have a bag of things i need with me. If I then ride to the stadium, I can't just leave it on the bike or bus!
Dude is a walking talking war crime!
It should be, but instead we can't even muster the votes to say maybe we should probably consider not allowing our deranged psycho president to further escalate the war.
Literally everything about flying sucks. We need more trains, and better airlines
ouch. I wish they would do that to the people who keep parking in that handicap space behind there that never had a tag or tagged plates.
Stupid boomers in my family believe Iran hates America because we are Christians. No Iran hates us because we deposed an popular and secular democratically elected Prime Minister, imposing a harsh & brutal dictator in order to continue stealing their oil. the US/UK have been the bad guys here!

Cheap gas also traps those who need to drive in costly cars, longer commutes & oftentimes lower health outcomes. Often those who need to drive do so because there are no alternative options. Delivery drivers, etc also benefit from better transit as means less traffic, & more parking!
I'm can both be sorry for folks who need to drive & pay this, but also believe that even at $5 a gallon is way too cheap. It should be around $4.50/gal if it followed basic inflation anyways, but it hasn't. Cheap gas keeps us hooked on cars rather than developing real public transit options.
As a person who lives car-free, the effect this has on me is negligible.
And I hope this spurs more people to demand walkable, bikable, transit-friendly places to live. Fossil fuels have always been a threat to national security and our pocketbooks
We also need to call out anti-bag policies as well. When places don't let me bring in bags, what are we supposed to do, just leave them on our bike full of stuff? Those of us on bikes don't have the luxury of a locked steel cage to store stuff like drivers do.
I for one am happy for the rain. the renters in my house nearly burnt it down the other day after a cigarette escaped the fire pit to burn much of the back yard parts of the siding because it's been so dry!
Too bad the SPR is empty.
Because the SPR is empty!
Nice!
I was also one of the first 50 people in Missouri to get internet access in 1992 in the general public who wasn't in the government of at a University.
I'm old enough to have used the Internet before the graphic web browsers were invented.
A little known fact, I took over for Charles Rezac (he helped write Lynx browser) when he left KU!

I meant cripple as in so many clubs would be up for sale at the same time causing problems, but yeah, it should be done, clubs should be locally owned, and better yet fan owned!
Bring back the brick streets!
That would absolutely cripple European Football, but it should be done!
No, but like everything else he does, he will leave it broken and worse off than if he had never gotten involved!
hahaha, great way to tell that story!
