Durlston Castle. A folly built of grey lime stone, the sea on the left, a grey and cloudy autumn sky above
View from Studland beach towards Old Harry's rock in distance. Blue sea, blue sky with white clouds. Chalk cliffs and pillars in the distance
View across heathland towards pool harbour. Foreground is green gorse, fading to brown. A standing stone is in the middle ground. In the distance blue water interspersed with land. Hazy sky with fair cloud and a hint of blue
Viewvfrom on high out to stay. A grey stone wall in the foreground. The sea is blue grey. The sky filled with white and grey clouds

Three large cabbages being washed in a white Enameled sink
A large bag of sea salt, a book on fermentation, chilli's, garlic, ginger root, turmeric root, some red cabbages, layed out on a kitchen work top

Kimchi and kraut-chi making today!
And I get to do the initial fermentation in our shed, as spring has sprung, and it's warm enough! Saving my long suffering family from the rather pungent aroma of fermentation!
A photo of two large, very purple, and slightly shiny fresh beetroot, bundled together, side by side.
A shave horse is a bench you sit astride and which clamps the green wood you are working, using a draw knife. I've not used one for some months, till yesterday. Tight trousers, or poor technique? Whatever reason today, I'm very aware of my... family jewels, so to speak! The beets seemed appropriate

We revere Dick Van Dyke. And make dark sacrifices to placate his cheery wrath!
Two large jars of deep red kimchi and one small jar, resting on a wooden chopping board, on a kitchen worktop. Various kitchen furniture in the background. The scene is brightly lit.
One bucket of chopped and brined cabbage equals this much kimchi

I ate the last of my kimchi yesterday.
Felixstowe with my son and some friends today. Arcade. Slots. Fun!

Shock, horror! Shut down!
We found Phoenix Fruit! Everything I needed to make a bucket of kimchi!
The universe said good boy Edward!
We found a functional KFC in Martlesham!
Timeless advice.
I think that was actually an episode of The Outer Limts? Or possibly Quincy?
A photo of a red kite against the blue winter sky

Never tried chilled batter. Thank you. Apologies for triggering a Yorkshire craving! I'm still recovering from someone sharing a pic of their autism diagnosis celebration cake! Looked a damn fine cake! And I never celebrated with cake! Am I 'owed' a cake? Does cake compound interest exist? More cake
This is the only flag Iβm flying today. For Janey. #Trumpisacunt Letβs make it trend.
Some people just see beard. I've been compared to someone before, and the only common physical feature is beard. I conclude that for some people, I am my beard. Just my beard. So if one day I shave it off, will I become..... Invisible?
Loved it. I still want to move to Cicely. Have a cuppa with Ed. Talk movies. Introduce One who waits to my spirit guide. Have dinner and a nightcap and shoot some pool at the Brick. Fabulous comfort tv.
It's a relatively common experience for me, too. Particularly racists, homophobes, hate filled people. Interesting conversations, shared experiences, they get comfortable, decide to tell me immigrants eat pets or societal collapse will happen coz everyone is gay now! They are shocked I don't agree!
A photo of fine, beautiful, crisp, puffy, Yorkshire puddings
Serious subject. I lost my Yorkshire pudding mojo. Flat. Awful. Shameful! It's back! Why? Who is the deity of light, crisp puffy Yorkshire puddings? Would a blood sacrifice help? And tonight... they accompany roast chicken! Heresy, some might say! But they're beautiful, none the less!

A photo of an in progress piece if green woodworking, a spatula, on a dark wooden table, accompanied by two wood carving knives
Slow Saturday morning. Carving at the kitchen table. Drinking tea. Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
