They will fire on us when told to. Don't doubt it.
FYI for fellow narrative designers/game writers: the studio in question is Sentona Games and it’s my understanding they are currently interviewing to replace me. Be very careful with them. They were very nice to me and easy to work with right up until I needed the money I was promised.
Here's a good example of "Copy the Vibe".
I kept getting spammed ads, and didn't read anything about it, but after watching the trailer, it immediately *gives* Majora's Mask
Then I read the summary and was like "YOU DID GOOD, I can feel the influence!"

(also the leaks already confirmed which countries this is based on, at least geographically, so it's really irresponsible to get ppl's hopes up when that info is just straight up out there and can easily prove you wrong)

IGN fueling a potential Malphilino wedge on social media by focusing on the Philippines in this article when we (officially) don't even know which country (or countries) this new region is based on.

i say this as someone who does pay for NSO and home well. sure itd be nice to have them included, but not with the caveats NSO imposes onto a game.
my b, hard to read sarcasm in text
one benefit i can see from it having NSO is it could have had online multiplayer maybe?
and if they had been on NSO, it prob wouldve meant no home compatibility. savestates makes for easy cloning
I think a good middleground is if they eventually allow you to get FRLG for a discount or even for free if you have NSO+ like with some DLC. unlikely but itd be the best of both worlds imo
yes it could have been cheaper but i expected it to be higher, so 50% of the original price is pretty sweet to me
not to mention pkmn games have a unique aspect where savefiles on their own can carry their own nostalgia. had it been stuck behind NSO, then id argue the save files really arent ur own
and what if i dont? look i dont like subscription services. i dont like having to pay a recurring fee to access a specific set of games. I want to be able to own my games, even if its just in a less-permenant digital form w/o needing to buy some other product i might be indifferent to.
oh yeah i misremembered it as being the monthly price. 50 a year isnt bad, but id still rather pay once and own the game and have the save file as long as i have my system, yknow?
ok so im confused, people. the price might be a bit too high at 20 bucks and selling the languages separately is silly... but why the hell are there ppl saying the FRLG rereleases should have been on NSO. why the hell would you want to lock your save file behind a $30 monthly subscription fee???
ngl despite the downsides, id rather not have to pay for NSO to access these games. subscription fees suck
