Yeah, it's a shame that their views are now so obvious, unlike the last time I saw them live, which was at a union convention in Boston where they played the Workers Song

I could *feel* the humid desperation of Russo, Ferrie, et al - you really nailed it. I have my seminar reading part of "Cruising" next week and they're excited about it.

A lot of these Kuwait sites are logistics operations. I spent weeks going between this port and Arifjan at the end of my Iraq tour, getting our shit ready to send home on a boat. There aren't many hardened structures - I lived in a tent most of the time, and I doubt things are much better now.

Cruising for Conspirators: How a New Orleans DA Prosecuted the Kennedy Assassination as a Sex Crime How a New Orleans DA Prosecuted the Kennedy Assassination as a Sex Crime

In the interest of not contributing to doomscroll negativity, here's a good book I just finished: Alecia P. Long's "Cruising for Conspirators"

This is the sweatiest book I've read in a long time (complimentary) - so many shady New Orleans characters wearing suit coats

Chapter 1 of Moby Dick, page 1

The phrase β€˜Call me Ishmael’, the first sentence of the book, is highlighted in blue, with careful highlighting on the very big C at the start. Above this, written in ballpoint pen β€˜His name’
