Kristi Noem has been running DHS in a way that is reckless, dangerous and unaccountable to the public. Under her leadership, we cannot trust that DHS has a leader that is committed to keeping our communities safe.
It's time for Noem to resign.
“Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman made multiple private phone calls to Trump over the past month advocating a U.S. attack” …this is why the Foreign Emoluments clause exists and why Trump’s profiteering raises questions about US or foreign policy.
Today marks 75 years since the 22nd Amendment was ratified—which bans Trump, and anyone else, from being elected as president more than twice.
As much as Trump may want it to be true, the Amendment makes clear that presidents are not kings.
The Constitution gives states authority over election law, subject to congressional oversight. The president isn't part of that equation.
So no sham national emergency that Trump cooks up will allow him to seize control of elections.
While everyday Americans continue to struggle with rising costs, Trump is dramatically increasing his profiteering and conflicts in just his first year back. Corruption at its worst.

Now that the Trump administration is using the same playbook again, it’s even more urgent that Congress do their job, conduct oversight and hold the executive branch accountable to the law.
Back in November, we urged Congress to investigate the executive branch’s potential violations of the Anti-Deficiency Act during the government shutdown.
This time around, DHS has issued a press release blaming the partial government shutdown on Democrats, which is exactly what DHS and other agencies did during the shutdown last fall.
The Department of Homeland Security is once again using government resources to promote partisan messages during a government shutdown, which may violate the Anti-Deficiency Act—and is definitely inappropriate.
Trump's $10B lawsuit against the government he runs for the leak of his tax returns is another grift in plain sight.
The court should stay this lawsuit and block Trump and DOJ from entering into an unconstitutional settlement while Trump is in office.
Don't forget: One of Trump's first acts of his second term was firing independent watchdogs at federal agencies.
