Long story short, 3 giant trees fell in my yard this morning, knocking out power to most of the street. (Not my house, weirdly)
We're fine but it's a giant mess & it's been an exhausting day & I just wanted to watch Good Omens but the Internet is also out
So instead I'm reading Discworld ❤️❤️❤️

Uggggh I think my older kid has the flu. 😫 Test was negative today but that's just the vibe I'm getting from the symptoms.
Poor guy has also only had 3 fevers in his life before this (he's 11) so any amount feels like dying. At least we all got the vaccine so I hope it won't be too awful

Why is Az so reluctant to help Crowley? Bc after all this we know better than to think he's just always happy to do what Heaven says

It just occurred to me that he pulled an Aziraphale that night. He didn't need to be rescued from Mrs. H., he could've snapped his fingers at any point and made the whole awkward situation go away. Instead, he let Aziraphale rescue him. "Rescuing me makes him so happy."
My youngest turns 5 tomorrow, which is unbelievable but that's another post. He's obsessed with strawberries so I've made a strawberry cake with strawberry filling and strawberry buttercream frosting.

Yes! I liked NG books but I never loved them like I wanted to. I don't even care that much about the plot in Discworld in general, it's just so much fun to read!
After s2 broke my heart I wanted to read other things by both of them (to figure out an end? I don't remember)
I started with NG & was so confused bc his other books are nothing like Good Omens.
10 minutes into Discworld, I got why. All the charming things I loved in GO the novel, that's Terry.
Based on the couple of previews I've seen, not at all what the movie seems to be about.
I've been (re?)reading Wuthering Heights bc there's the movie & I know I've seen the old movie but remembered nothing about it. (I think I've read the book but also remembered nothing)
I finished today & did actually really like it but... What a strange book. That was a lot

Love seeing my relatives share posts about the US men's hockey team & how it's so great to see talented athletes who are proud Americans. These people have never watched a hockey game & I guarantee they didn't watch that one but sure, go on about how great it was.
