In amongst all the excitement I fear many have missed this outstanding bit of trolling by Friedrich Merz.

The Chancellor gifted Trump a gilded framed copy of his grandfather’s German birth certificate... reminding Americans that Trump is both the child and grandchild of migrants.

Founder folk were so worried that the American people would see them as bigger than life (NO KINGS!) that they insisted that portraits & statues of them were actual size—no bigger.

Not to state the obvious, but none of them were sent to a terrorist prison in El Salvador. They all had lawyers, indictment by grand jury, a trial or a guilty plea where a judge ensured it was knowing & voluntary & access to an appeals process. In other words, all the hallmarks of due process.

Tonight, Democrats forced a vote on a simple amendment.

To remove new tariffs that are increasing the cost of groceries, gas and housing.

Republicans rejected it.

When disaster strikes – FEMA responds.

All over the country, they save lives and help rebuild.

Republicans just voted down @padilla.senate.gov’s amendment which would protect the agency from drastic cuts.

And victims of disaster everywhere will pay the price.

Tonight, we forced Republicans to take a simple vote:

Can we all agree that billionaire corporations like Amazon and Tesla - who take home over $1 billion in sheer profit a year - shouldn't get another tax handout?

Republicans said no.

Me too. A friend introduced me and I've been a faithful follower for 5 years now. So glad she didn't stop after Biden's first 100 days as she suggested. Thinking things would calm down after that. If only...
