The new video is here! Another HRCYED update. And I'm finally going through my spreadsheets like a real HRCNYRD.

I can't explain it, but Timothee Chalamet always seemed like the kind of guy who would have stupid opinions of ballet and opera.
My reaction when I saw the interview clip was less "what???" and more "that tracks."
Tomorrow's Bandcamp Friday fundraiser will be for The Trans Continental Pipeline, helping trans folks leave hostile states (ahem, Kansas) for Colorado.
Now that the news is out, I can finally admit how fucking funny it is that my debut novel is going to be published by a press called QUEER SPACE.
I, who has joked for years that "no one is straight in space" and "gay space opera is redundant."
And that's on β¨Manifestingβ¨

IT IS TIME FOR THE PUBLISHING ANNOUNCEMENT.
My debut novel will be coming out in Autumn 2027 from the indie press Queer Space. The contract has been signed and formalized.
WE DID IT Y'ALL.

Ramen noodle cups smell like marching band.
STG, the second I smell it, I'm 12 years old again frantically eating while a ban mom aggressively French braids my hair so I can get to the bus in time.
(Yes, I was in a competitive marching band at 12. It was an experience.)
The happy one
My husband, whose loved the stage version of Little Shop of Horrors since before I met him finally watched the movie version this past weekend.
He hated it. π
How I arrived on Bluesky.
Lol, they're both audio books. So it would be one headphone in each ear.

The Jill Filipovic thread is reminding me of my Historiography class in college.
Where we spent an entire semester learning how it's literally impossible to be completely unbiased and you should always check the biases of the historians recording history.
You know, just thinking about that.
Another reminder that the Trans Rights Readathon is at the end of March and fundraises for queer orgs.
I would suggest donating to ones in Kansas.

The book does have some swords crossing, it's true.
True! But even my low-stakes nonfiction YouTube videos about ballet or finances or whatever don't "count" as sick watching to my brain. π
One time I insta-bought a book cuz I saw a 1 star review that said "just a woman in a house fucking monsters."

Oh not at all. I don't even mind medical advice when it comes from someone with a similar condition who knows something that can genuinely help.
It's the people giving bullshit "just eat healthy" advice that I hate.
Thankfully, insulin resistant PCOS isn't as severe, I just feel like shit in different ways either way. But it took me so long to learn where to cut out glucose that I could mostly play it by ear. These last few weeks are the first time where I'm regularly tipping over the other way.
Ironically, this is the result of being too proactive.
I've spent so much time worried about hyperglycemia (the thing I usually suffer from the most) that I forgot the other option existed. π
My brain will not let me watch something new when I'm sick.
"No, this is the time for REWATCHING. We cannot waste precious energy taking in NEW media, tf are you doing."
Once again over-corrected myself into hypoglycemia and had to use my spoonie skipping privileges for 75 Booked.
Finally broke down and ordered one of those damn finger pokers.

They bombed a CHILDREN'S SCHOOL.
Please tell me how KILLING SCHOOL CHILDREN keeps more lives from being lost.
Thinking about that indie author who requested a review from me for a BIPOC MC when they were not BIPOC. When I asked what research they did, they "informed" me that "requiring research limits writer freedom." π
I HATE how people interpret "write what you know" to mean "write what you've personally lived"
No one's saying you can never write outside your demographic
They're saying you should put in effort to learn about the subject so you don't push stereotypes and/or look like a dumbass

I don't want to read a book written by AI.
I don't want to read a book half written by AI.
I don't want to read a book narrated by AI.
I don't want to read a book with an AI cover.
I don't want to read a book written by somebody who supports AI.
As a socially awkward person who's written cringe letters and had unrequited crushes, seeing all this "ew, why would anyone want Clint, gross" rhetoric in the Stardew Valley community is...uh... something.
Tried to convince a 3rd grader he should listen to Beethoven for his specials time by describing the composer as "the GOAT of classical music."
Craziest part is, it worked. πππ
