You might have a look at the scalper prices they're trying on in US, far from helping your sales. Amazon even if I try Kindle book on amazon.co.uk
Seriously, try AI Mode on Google; it's really good at things like this particularly if you keep pushing it if not success right at first...
The Essence has made it onto the Reading List, which is unexpected but also well cool. Thank you, everyone at Locus.
Book beside coffee cup. Cover shows title/author, down middle there is a large lightning bolt, on rigjtt side half a man in a suit, he stands with his hand in his pocket, on other side towers of a city.
BK6 The Essence - Dave Hutchinson - a very Dave book, with familiar themes from his Fractured Europe book. A man just out of hospital is struggling to put his life back together when work sends him on an easy job that quickly becomes complicated and he is out of his depth.

I just read this and yes, it was brilliant. Neil has nailed its essence (yes...) and I think further information genuinely spoils the impact; I would recommend not reading reviews, just reading the book
I've said it before and I'll say it again.
The Essence is one of the best Hutchinson books ever and a top tier sf novel of recent vintage. Stands up to rereading. All expectations right out the window.
If you read for pleasure, put it on your list.
On a lookup, I see why you mentioned my name...

fascinating. who do they think they're going to get, the ghost of Gore Vidal? At AI 'masters'' rates, no doubt, 100million - 1 billion/yr...
not only half in half an hour, the ways it's much as Star Trek no?
I'll finish it, later, smiling at Kirk's salad days :)
It's probably most accurate to think of matters of the spirit in the States as a parallel to political alignments in your Fractured Europe...
A lie-in and free day sounds just the thing, arriving home, brings back nice memories of having done it so many times, Dane.
Rest well, a chorale echoes :)
Previous was supposed to come after... it's that time of night...
Nice. If not your destination, I see where you're coming from :)
Just ask if you can sit there. A Euro custom you can use in spite of Brexit.

@tenth-muse.com ran across in the flood of old movies now on YouTube, thought you might really enjoy this oater... www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9Pm...
That was local enough that even with a decade of life in the UK, couldn't parse, but will take this opportunity to heavily compliment you on your newly released novel, The Essence.
I'm still considering what to say about in others' views, but it was both captivating and satisfying indeed. Bravo :)
... benefits from good sound or buds, where you can hear the bass...
Here's another you might like -- While Horses, performed in memory of Vassar Clements, very suited to how he would have played himself on it...enjoy :)

Actually to be released before the next millennium here, very much looking forward to it. Some definite longing for more of Hutchinson flavors here, as much as rereadings are enjoyed :)
Hey, y'all. I'm off Twitter/X. I reached the point where my time was more valuable than anything it would offer. I'm on Goodreads and have a blog (www.goodreads.com/author/show/...) and I run a Substack on AI and Literature (free, but subscriptions are most welcome). drderekbmiller.substack.com
...and if you read the pdf on the link of last msg, you'll find that The Ducal Cap of Burgundy was likely a conflation of two tales, one circa 1315, right near your date.
In the robust side of the tale, the Swiss won big :) (I used to live there)
Ok, here's an LLM-fu result, Claude asked to search, Perplexity, finally Google Gemini Pro, hints exchanged, but in the end telling to concentrate on the mythic elements not historicals. What makes a story, finds...

Ok, that's better. Korea is one of mine, and I had very interesting experiences visiting Koreatown when I originally returned. As it was then. SF and China also have strong relations. And certain Scandinavia of family and the real, other Europe I've lived.
Well, the first is not edgy, but turns out to find itself in some true edges, edges of truths, like that.
The second is ideas; I'm just started on it to see what they have, in some particularly untransparent ways.
I'll give you that you're persistent, and that I'm, well, dimensionally not young.
Mary, I'm not interested in investment opportunities.
Here are two books for you, interesting but not center of my interests, which are private:

I'm also in California, have lived a culture or two afar.
well, I was about to settle down with an unusual one of Tony Hillerman's, but what's on your mind?
At a quick offside glance, it looks like one of Hokusai's (wonderful) rain scenes...the colors inverted...
