The Cube was quite nice, but also a space eater. The Station made much better use of space.

I used to lust after a NeXTcube with a NeXTdimension card. 32-bit color when when the best PCs had 8-bit color. A few years later I was using a nice Intel NeXTstep system for development. And it had color!

I'm afraid to report I could only cast one ballot.

Also, for presidential elections, we aren't terribly democratic (little-d). The Electoral College skews things.

As for lawfully elected representatives representing people, that stopped long ago. They represent the donor/oligarchy/Epstein class.

They were too expensive, plus Steve wasn't allowed to target lower education markets, etc. The hardware was strong for the workstation market (Sun, etc) and the software was 20 years ahead of everyone else. End result is macOS and iOS and saving Apple.

Yes, Apple is nowhere near as invasive and they ask you if you want to share data instead of automatically opting you into sharing. And remember years ago when Apple told the FBI to go pound sand? So yeah, Google and Microsoft are much more invasive than Apple.

I would've loved that, too, but I just have a "lowly" basic NeXTstation (25 MHz 68040, 20 MB RAM). I didn't get NeXTstep in color until I started doing professional development, but that was on Intel. Worked exactly like it did on the 68040, though, except in color and faster.

What frameworks/libraries/languages do you use to make it cross-platform?

All the parts will be from Taiwan, China, etc. Just assembled in the USA.
