Movie Poster for Asteroid City
Just Watched π¬: Asteroid City (2023)
Interesting, funny but odd. I audibly said "wtf am I watching" at one point. Fantastic sets, camera work, minatures and transitions. Felt like I needed a YT breakdown to fully appreciate it.
Worth a watch: it's not for everyone. I enjoyed it.

Which part?
I will look into making a case later this week.
This used a waveshare pico epaper 2.9 display, and a pico w. Home Assistant monitors the solar and battery systems. The pico runs ESPHome and reads from HA.
When looking for display examples I found this great dashboard and modified it for my system.

Epaper display showing home solar and battery statistics.
Made a new status display for the home solar and battery system. The epaper display looks so good!
Not insurmountable, but definitely considerations when allowing recipients/"sellers" to setup payouts.
Like who vets and verifies that the registered people actually belonged to the team? How do you verify it's not a big money laundering scheme registered as a team?
I suspect it's "simple" from a tech perspective, but stuff gets complex when it comes to sending money to people online on a larger scale like this. Regulations and processes in particular.
Similar thing happened in 2008 and then for years afterwards constant complaints about a "serious shortage of seniors".... Yeah, who coulda seen that coming?
Her video explaining everything is here: youtube.com/watch?v=djluF6β¦
Her legal fund is here: gofund.me/45f72d8b7 I donated $1000 to support her cause, but sadly the situation hasnβt received much attention. Even if you canβt contribute, watching and sharing her video would help a lot.
I haven't had any sync issues yet, that'd be an instant unsub, that's a core feature. I was already using it way way less than I used to. It was the pop up that did it. I could tolerate it if I was a free user, but to be paying and still slapped with that EVERY load was nuts.
After 14 or so years, finally cancelling my paid dropbox sub. Literally every time I refresh the website I get this upsell.
Halloween week! Time for Vigo to make another appearance!
> But he claimed it wasnβt feasible to ask for consent before ingesting their work first.
"Asking for permission first would bankrupt the streaming media industry" - Napster probably should have tried this one.
Why are long lists so terrible online? Take a music playlist, it loads 20-30 songs at a time, and then you need to scroll to the bottom, and wait for the next batch to load. Just implement virtual scroll ffs. Count the items in the playlist, let me scroll to the real end, and then batch load that.
Yes, I believe on that side it's reversed to signal "advancing forward" as if it's trailing behind them rather than retreating.

This is just my little non-monetised personal blog. Imagine this across all the sites across the internet.
This was my most popular blog article that was on setting up Jenkins. It had stable traffic for 4 years prior to this.
Then you see people claiming referrals still come through:
It's still pretty weird to see AI people claim that LLMs aren't destroying web traffic. Let's play a game: Guess when ChatGPT launched:
That background looks amazing!
It was somewhat amusing and mindblowing at the same time that semantic search was just the bread and butter linear algebra of gamedev.
Yep. Lots of fancy words too which boil down to "just paste more supporting documents or examples into the chat history".
I've been following Derfies progress on this on discord for a while. He's cooking some cool stuff!
I don't think the current drivers will, but next on the task list is to switch to some TMC2209's. Should make it quicker and silent!
Do it! Can't wait to see some pics!
So, anyone got any cool jobs going haha? Interested in Tech Art, Lighting , Lookdev Unreal roles, remote from Adelaide, let me help you make pretty things!
Good point, I have a USB tester that says 12v is supported with qc3.0, but it won't tell me what voltages PD supports, I'll just have to see what happens. Worst case I can adjust some of the electronics to use 9v or 15v. There's already a regulator to give 5v to Rpi and MCU, it's just the steppers.
