Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey says the bonds would
It's time to get serious about funding defence.
Everyone is saying we 'must do more' but it's all talk.
Our plan to issue bonds for funding defence will raise £20bn and give our allies the reassurance that Britain is serious about defending Europe.

I asked the Government, how much cyber attacks cost the economy in 2025.
The answer £14.7 Billion.
Businesses need support to upgrade their infrastructure so that we can prevent further losses, but if the government doesn't act, cyber attacks could cost even more in 2026.

Magnetic signals without wires: helimagnets synchronise distant layers
A new study has shown that certain magnet materials, when excited by microwaves to move in oscillation, emits a wireless signal that can drive nearby magnets to move in sync.
Roll over electronics; here come magnonics. A collaboration between Oxford University, ShanghaiTech University, and Diamond Light Source at Harwell has uncovered a new way to communicate without wires, using helimagnetic materials and magnetic ‘spin’ waves. www.physics.ox.ac.uk/news/magneti...

The survey states: "The existing/original stone used for the construction of the wall is almost certainly from the nearby Headington Quarry. This quarry closed in the middle of the twentieth century and therefore new/replacement stones will have to be sourced from alternative quarries."

The Times. Fortnightly talks agreed with the EU to thrash out Brexit 'reset'. 30 January.
The Brexit 'reset' bill is essential for closer UK-EU alignment. We are glad that the Government are intensifying negotiations, and we hope discussions on other areas, such as rejoining the Single Market and Customs Union, continue to develop.

Labour vote down motion on police front counters and school holiday meals
Liberal Democrat members of the London Assembly proposed the two ideas at City Hall
We could have saved our police front counters but Labour and Greens voted against the Lib Dem proposal to fund keeping them open. Labour also voted against investing more to tackle holiday hunger. Such a disappointment - we can’t trust Labour in London www.mylondon.news/news/zone-1-...

This is what oligarchy is about:
If you paid 1 penny in federal income taxes last year, you paid more than Tesla - a $1.3 trillion company owned by Elon Musk, the wealthiest man alive, who became $460 billion richer since Election Day after spending $290 million to elect Trump.

Incendiary views.
Suspect opinion polls.
Massive self-obsession.
British public life would be so much better without him. "
I wonder how many by-election leaflets will be graced by this quote from someone who is now a prominent Reform member?

"Council should not be raising revnue" from school streets. May I remind the editor of our local newspaper that the only reason they are is because drivers choose to ignore the restrictions that were put in place to PROTETCT CHILDREN from getting hurt or killed outside their schools.
