I see. In Australia we have mandatory voting so all citizens are automatically added to the electoral roll at 18 and you get marked off when you vote.
Still I think using yellow stars to validate your status is a bit on the nose
Your licence already is a form of government ID with a photo for recognition. There is no need for a yellow star. It is a tactic to be able to exclude some people from voting because their didn’t know you needed to add a star or because they were afraid to go into a government agency
