This was posted after F3 but before qualifying so if your not in Australasia or Asia by the time you’re awake you can laugh at how wrong I was.

Astroturf has less grip than tarmac πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Williams are in an awful state ☹️

Ferrari nestling in that special place where they’re good enough to create hope, and it’s the hope that kills you.

Speaking of hope, Hadjar keeping up with Max in that cursed 2nd Red Bull seat.

Looks like another crap Alpine.

There’s already basically one already on the Shanghai circuit. Just needs a couple extra exits for a B road and one for a Halfords.

It also means I can post at night/in the wee hours, which is when I most often feel the need to expel thoughts from my mind, and hardly anyone sees them. It’s excellent.

I can think of instances where you might want to deactivate manually - 130R springs to mind, or Eau Rouge/Radillon - where you want the downforce back but don’t brake.

But I can’t think of anywhere you’d be braking and not want/need the downforce back.

Commentators *seemed* to imply it was only some teams, but didn’t sound very sure.

Surely deciding to not make it auto-off when the tech is there from the DRS days is an insanely dangerous decision.

Like, you’d die at Stowe at Silverstone, the hairpin at Shanghai, Spoon at Suzuka etc.

I heard on the F1 FP commentary that Pierre Gasly told them he had to manually deactivate the straight-mode/new DRS before braking every time.

I’d assumed it was auto-off when you touched the brakes like DRS.

A recipe for huge crashes like Doohan at Suzuka.

Do the rules say it has to be manual?

I literally don’t read mine and have notifications turned off (Not that anyone ever watched mine anyway, which I was also very fine with).

Christ, there you get comments literally years after posting. It’s insane!

06.03.2026 19:04 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

One thing I like about BSky is that if you do a post that quickly gets likes and reposts, it dies down quickly. No days of not even wanting to look because the notifications are so overwhelming. No waking up & feeling mortified.

Some likes & comments, maybe a convo or two and done.

Much healthier.

On 6 March, parliament member Mohsen Zanganeh stated that two candidates remained in the running, that both were "reluctant to accept the position", and that the new Supreme leader would be "introduced" by 8 March.

Oh yeah, I absolutely include the tame press in the tame media category.

It’s definitely a difference with most of Europe, though I fear consolidation and the drift far-rightwards of economic liberals and centre-right/Christian Democrats means it’s less every year.

I’m just happy to see him seeming so positive and actually enjoying getting to drive the red cars. Nothing sadder than seeing him - at least one of the greatest ever - achieve his boyhood dream of driving for Ferrari and then have it just make him depressed.

Labour's asylum policies will destroy lives and drive away voters Labour's asylum and immigration policies risk violating international law and are politically self-defeating, writes Daniel Sohege.

My latest piece for the @bigissue.com is out today, on how Labour's attacks on those seeking asylum are not only inhumane, potentially illegal, and seriously counterproductive, but also politically incoherent for a party which claims to be "progressive".
