We were greeted by the kindest, most calming and warm soul who helped us understand what was happening and showed deep care for us and my Dad. He continued to show utmost patience and kindness over the next few days as my Dad remained in the ICU and we were there continually. It was Alex Pretti, the man shot today by ICE. If you see this video and don't think it's murder, I don't understand your thinking and ask you to question your heart. He was out there trying to help and protect and from the little we knew of him, it doesn't surprise me he was not afraid to be on the front lines of this horrible scene in our Minneapolis. Weeping for his family and all those at the VA who no longer get to work with him or receive his care.

Without any doubt in my mind, invoking the notwithstanding clause is, in fact, a most serious transgression. It is a breach of my trust on the most fundamental of levels and does not represent me whatsoever. It's not just a political disagreement, it's rejecting rights.

A whrilygig in front of my house, you can see small footprints leading to it from the sidewalk. Snoopy was covered in snow this morning, now he has been brushed clean.
In today's heartwarming news, a kid walking past my house saw that Snoopy was snowed under. So they walked up to his dog house and brushed the snow away so Snoopy could fly his Sopwith Camel safely.
Heh, Nathan Neudorf (and my MLA RJ Sigrudson) have both claimed the spirit of the law is to address serious misconduct.
I am telling them both, and every other MLA that voted to invoke the notwithstanding clause, that voting to elevate their legislation over human rights is wrong. Full stop.
