it’s definitely peak for ergonomics, IPS is just 100% a must-have mod.. i thought i could live with it like i did when i was a kid but after one short weekend vacation using it i was thoroughly sick of having no backlight

IPS screen + reshell for ol’ reliable. really excited to enjoy this thing more in my travels ^^

Well after a ton of hours polishing, screen turned out about 70% improved! and i got a remote for the set to access the composite inputs. i’m quite pleased with it! even more pleased to share that it has been given a new lease on life at a local screenplay theaters’ prop department!

you know, i think wind waker is probably the best game out there for showing off the picture on a CRT. I don’t think any other game is quite as vibrant with color and contrast, it lends itself so well to the rich color depth of a tube

i’ve had about a 50/50 split of owning flat and curved CRT’s, they’re not too terribly different. flat CRT’s are typically newer and thus have better quality inputs like component and S-video so i’d probably go for that one

i definitely did, but they haven’t interested me much in my adulthood

okay, I must admit.. i sorta kinda get the appeal of VHS. this feels neat.

i could be doing anything else with my day but i’m spending hours buffing and polishing the glass screen on a 29 year old television. feliz jueves
