A bottle of red wine, with a label that reads "Bela Lugosi's Red". Underneath it reads "Translucent Black Grapes" and the art from the cover of the Bauhaus debut single, which was in turn taken from the 1926 film The Sorrows of Satan, directed by D. W. Griffith. It is also labelled a French Merlot but that is neither comic nor gothic. No, I don't know the origins of the picture or where you can get the wine.
Happy #NationalDrinkWineDay!
Welcome to a state, where the politics of hate
Shout loud in the crowd, watch them beat us all down
There's a rising tide on the rivers of blood
But if the answer isn't violence, neither is your silence

Happy Birthday fellow Aquarian! Also turning 50 in the next weeks albeit somewhere hot and sunny π΄- did myself a solid planning that one!
I decided to destroy my Ring camera today. I can't pay money to Bezos while also helping ICE.
*Do not attempt! Lithium batteries can catch on fire or explode if the case is compromised.
Will not pass the board. No equipoise- intervention clearly inferior to standard of care. Not ethical to randomize.
I literally planned 2 breakfasts a day. One to vomit and one to keep down.
A screenshot of a tweet by @cestmoilanglois that reads "Heard a report that some ravens were perched above a downtown building purposefully and gleefully pushing snow onto the heads on(sic) people passing by. Happy New Year to the tricksters and survivors, which is to say, to all of us finding glimmers of joy in the darkness".

I started leaving voice messages. Fuck typing on these tiny screens with my aging eyeballs.
This was an excellent book.
Rain clouds at 6:45 facing South from my house in Montreal.

When I was pregnant I cried over a wounded pigeon on a busy road. I was so distraught my husband almost got run over trying to save it. I also stupidly saw Finding Nemo in the theatre when pregnant with my first.
I knew this was Montreal before I looked at your profile to verify! Iβm looking at the same scene from Verdun βοΈ
Would you consider writing a book set in the 80s featuring a soundtrack to great 80s alternative and new/synthwave?

Never did it - no regrets. Kids are 20 and 22- well adjusted did not miss out on any core childhood experiences.
Bundled up for a chilly movie night on the deck. Dog Soldiers for a scary theme πΊ
Except when they tried to tell us that schools weren't a hot bed of covid transmission π
Ew the language is cringe. What is an IRB Study? It's not a methodology descriptor. All research in humans must undergo an ethics review. Why do they make it sound novel?
In 2005 we were told to avoid nuts for the 1st 2 yrs. My son had his first reaction to peanut just shy of 2. We participated in a trial with Duplimab injections to no avail. He is about to turn 20 and will be allergic for life. I sincerely hope fewer parents have to navigate the allergic kid life.
And Guy Fawkes!?
My humble Msc thesis publication showed that failure to co-administer 18-month vaccines was associated with not being UTD or under immunized at 24 months (OR=3.29; 95% CI: 2.47-4.39). DOI: 10.1016/j.vaccine.2017.08.072
So cool!!

In a park setting, someone in a Grimace costume lifts a small child. The childβs head is in Grimaceβs mouth.
It was an unpleasant business, but every four years, Grimace required a blood sacrifice, and well, nobody really much liked Brandon anyway.
