this was a little christmas gift we coordinated with a bunch of people. at the time we hadn’t officially come out with the name “mode gone” so including myself in it was kind of as brazen as it got

the photo is in the net cafe I drafted a lot of the plot in. the chapter also takes place in a net cafe. this is probably all of my .hack knowledge at full force while trying to maintain any semblance of “storytelling,” all based on one line of prose in the original bullet that didn’t sit right

i had about 10000 yen that i had to subtract 1100 yen from because there were over 500 coins in the lot. i will try and take them to the supermarket before it gets too crazy next time...
amazing japan nightmare unlocked; I brought a bunch of small coins that had piled up to be counted at the bank and it actually costs a hefty sum to deposit them as they need to be counted. I am literally losing money

we had the illustration ready to go for a long time, but we didn’t know when to use it. it happened to be 8/9 and I scrambled to put something out in time, so I wrote this all in one firey session and churned out one of the best chapters on the first try. I have that much confidence in it
this was one of, if not the best chapter I wrote. the illustration was done by Zyunoe, who used my terrible 30 second sketch as a base for the illustration (see attached)

not necessarily! i can't recall where but it had already been previously stated that the ovan seen there is a vagrant AI (likely in the supplementary material explaining his apparent disappearance in season 3)
