They are a click bait site. One of the founders blocked me when I tried to ask why they seemingly framed an issue for engagement when the real problem was buried in the piece.

Since then it's become obvious. When you dig into a lot of the things they report you see how little nuance they allow.

Republicans spent a couple of decades doing this, and Dems in those places were told and ignored it. Texas has not been R run for that long. California has the opposite, and had its last R governor in 2009.

It just takes time, and decent propaganda.

People is doing some of the best reporting on the Trump administration's actions. Yes, that People

Wow. That's way better than the feral peacocks in Pasadena, CA. Those birds are bastards.

That's the bad thing. You want no DST at all. DST is a colonialist project. In the US it means higher energy bills and usage across large parts of the country too.

Believing members of a group - any group - are inherently duplicitous is bigotry 101. Maybe don't do that.

The Black customer base was large enough that they made a big deal about partnering with Black owned product manufacturers and carrying their products. The anti-DEI change was primarily around dropping all of those products. As in, almost if not all had their contracts voided.

I think it's where you lived. Target had a large middle class Black customer base. The boycott was organized by several Black churches across the US South, and everyone else is boycotting in solidarity. There have been encouraged unofficial boycotts by LGBTQ+ groups as well.

I think they might have better luck spending two thousand dollars holding a press conference where they detail who made the key decisions to collaborate with the Trump administration, how and when they were fired, and explaining what would stop that from happening again.

And, again, Israel is a sovereign nation. Not a colony. They are independent, have a large GDP - do you even know what that is? - are considered developed even though they are in apartheid, and are not a vessel of any other state.

They are a major exporter of military surveillance to the US.

Palestinians are not indigenous. They are Arabs. The Jews and Arabs in the region are largely feom the same places. You can oppose genocide and apartheid without buying into literal Nazi lies. As in, they laundered this stuff in the 1930s.

Manditory Palestine was a LON mansldate after the Turks gave it up when they got caught genociding. France and the UK got stuck with it. It's not some invasion or extraction. Please read a book not by a bigot.

'Very Bad Sign for Democracy': AIPAC Has Spent Over $100 Million on 2024 Elections | Common Dreams The American Israel Public Affairs Committee, a powerful lobbying group widely known as AIPAC, has officially spent more than $100 million in the 2024 election cycle.

AIPAC isn't a traditional PAC. They work like the NRA. This is not general influence funds. They are directed, specific.

Israel is not a colony lol. They have a very large GDP and make 85% of their own weapons and equipment. They actually export surveillance equipment and training to the US.

Do you think any partner of the US not in Europe is a "colony?"

AIPAC isn't a traditional PAC. They work more like the NRA.

I just learned that most Iraqis are Sunni Muslims whereas most Iranians are Shiite Muslims. Here’s why I think the war with Iran will go very differently than the war with Iraq….(1/23)

This is what Talarico is talking about when he speaks of his fears about our current government and bad actors in it. This is what he opposes. Keep that in mind when randos online claim he is duplicitous. What is it they really support?

I was only allowed to log in to HALPC, and only to download games. I'm still bitter my mom wouldn't let me log in to this BBS run by a cute boy from a different part of Texas who invited me.

I used to love telling young folks about defragging taking all day, but no one knows what that is anymore.

πŸ‘πŸ» what I’ve come to think of as Variety Pack television. Each season could have a whole bunch of different tones, Spotlights, character-focused episodes, moral dilemmasβ€”you really just got a Whitman sampler type of thing. now it’s just, here’s everything mashed into 8 or 10, whether or not it works

ICE detains reporter Estefany RodrΓguez in Nashville - Nashville Banner Reporter Estefany RodrΓguez, detained by ICE with no arrest warrant, may face deportation. Her attorneys seek immediate review of the legality of her case.

ICE has arrested and detained a Nashville journalist who reported stories critical of ICE. She’s married to a U.S. citizen and has been seeking asylum here after fleeing death threats in Colombia because of her journalism there.

They’ve already sent her to Louisiana.

I truly do think all of the "Noem out, Mullin in" posts and stories are failing American democracy right now!

Trump is announcing his nominee.

That's it.

If the Senate majority wants to confirm him, they're a part of thisβ€”even after knowing what they know now.

And that matters come November.

You understand WaPo is incorrect here, right? That this analysis ignorant, and they already fired anyone competent enough to cover this?

Pretty sure the guy with a record support separation of church and state, preaching on the dangers of Christian Nationalism, and "flipping tables," isn't a fundie

06.03.2026 00:34 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

This analysis is wildly incorrect, assumes all Christians are conservative. (Somebody tell Raphael Warnock and Dr Barber, lol)

Talarico speaks often about separation of church and state, has a state record on it. He also speaks on the dangers of Christian Nationalism. He isn't crossing any aisles.

06.03.2026 00:32 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Religious bigotry is always cool, huh?

WaPo, like every other national pub with no religion reporters, is wrong here. Talarico is a leftist Christian talking about "flipping tables." He is definitely not reaching across any aisles.

But ignorance is okay here, I guess.

06.03.2026 00:28 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Yes, she did. That's not what an "ole boys network" is. (Lol) Crockett appeared on Colbert multiple times, and Rogan was her choice. Talarico appeared before his campaign.

Crockett is allies with and supports Talarico. You are an ignorant outsider and shitstirrer who needs to back off.
