African Easterly Waves (AEWs), the seeds of Atlantic hurricanes π, are being shaped by a warmer, moister climate.

In our new paper, we investigate how warming & drying in CO from 1981β2021 has affected trends in cool-season precipitation, which provide most of our water resources. π§βοΈ
This results in more dry days and less snow days, with more ablation at high altitudes.
