That's happened to me, too, more than once! I'm also too lazy for this.

!!!!
I just saw a news item about that, Yelena! Enjoy the warmth! We had 68 two days ago but today we're back to low 40s, with rain now and all sorts of "possible snow" mentions from the NWS for the coming days... It's great reading weather!
If only!
Fizgig is such a lovely cat! Edwina trills like that, too, I love those little noises.
I loved that book, too!
Not β₯οΈing this because I don't like that you got the flu... But here's wishing you a quick recovery so you can be back at HQ again soon!
Tempus fugit indeed! I dug out an old Pelican edition, first published in 1957, too, though this is a reprint.
I'm going to see what I can find in a formatted Ukrainian translation -- this will be a fun reading project!
Ooooh, Hamlet!!
My husband came back just as I clicked on these photos and admired Ludo with me. He's such a handsome cat!
Wow, bees!? The birds are very active here but we haven't seen any bees yet. (And we do get a lot of them...)
Yes, it was 68 here today, too! I'm glad you've been enjoying it, too. It seems like there's more bare ground by the hour... Yet allegedly there could be more snow over the weekend?!
I think you and your mom should choose since you're leading us through this! The problem plays have definitely been difficult but either a proper comedy or a blockbuster (be that Hamlet or something else) sounds good to me.
I'm glad I decided to sit this one out: I'm very, very interested in Satantango but this is such a rough, bleak time already that I definitely need the breathing room that @piaze.bsky.social mentions...
MY DREADFUL BODY gets rave review @fullstopmag.bsky.social βEssential feminist, anticolonial reading . . . MY DREADFUL BODY is about power. The power of one nation to colonize another, which is in turn echoed by the power of men to control women . . . "

No wonder you're sleepy with all those degrees! I hope it cools down soon.
This reminds me of a line in a Ukrainian novel (Ask Miechka by Eugenia Kuznetsova) I recently read... It's basically something like "you're your own worst prison," though it rhymes nicely in Ukrainian. I think back to this often...
Yes, this scene was a bit of a surprise!
I also love Georgian food! I hope you have a chance to try it!
I'd love to read it with you, Rohan! A few of us have been talking about a BrontΓ«fest and added that book to the tentative list, though Braddon was not a BrontΓ«...
Thank you!
I've enjoyed all the Elizabeth Taylor books I've read but this one is especially (for lack of a better word) complete.
It's my favorite (thus far, that is, since I still have a bunch to go!) as well.
Thank you for the reminder on this book... I keep meaning to get and read it, particularly given my visits to Baku in the '90s!
Glad all's okay -- momb just wants the best!
I hope everything is okay!
They all three look so tidy, curled up like that!
Well, the blizzard wasn't as big here as expected! But it was still something like 4-6" and then there've been all sorts of other smallish storms, like Tuesday night, another 4-5". Tonight we're supposed to get some sort of mixed stuff... We can't even keep track!
It looks beautiful where you are!
Wow! (We still have enough snow for skiing...)
I so agree with you about that paragraph & the ensuing silence, which I think about often, given how much it snows here.
Oddly, the paragraph has particular resonance for me after seeing James Joyce's The Dead on Broadway with Christopher Walken... I don't like musicals much but loved this one.
