The Fireworks Galaxy (NGC 6946) is an intermediate spiral and astronomers have observed ten supernovae occurring in recent times. This recent activity has given the galaxy it's nickname. It is located between the boundary of Cepheus and Cygnus constellations at a distance of 25.2 Mly. Equipment: Telescope: SVBony SV503 80ed Camera: ZWO ASI533 mc pro Mount: ZWO AM5 Controller: Mini PC running NINA UV/IR cut and HA/Oiii duo band filters

classified as a starburst galaxy with at least ten supernova explosions observed occurring there in the last century. Finally a clear night, they have been rare this spring. This is a combined Halpha-RGB image.
