Trump's Updated EMTALA Guidance Tells Docs, "You're On Your Own" The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services said the 2022 guidance did “not reflect the policy of this administration.”

Never underestimate this administration's keen ability to sow chaos and no doubt the latest EMTALA "guidance" will have a negative effect on doctors and patients all across the U.S.

As Shannon Melero put it in our newsletter, “In other words, senators will yet again be sitting down with an unqualified and potentially dangerous white man to assess whether or not he is fit to have a job that the average American and 24,000 physicians can plainly see he cannot do.”

A guy who peddles anti-vaccine conspiracies, allegedly assaulted his family’s nanny, and was described by his own cousin as preying on the parents of sick children could be in charge of the federal agency that controls access to life-saving treatment and the future of medical research. 🫠
