LAPD quietly acknowledged at least one officer participated in a law enforcement gang. Sources within LAPD told Ten Four that the officer was assigned to the Mission Division, which has been wracked with firings and controversy for several years.

This particular officer retired and as such the department was unable to discipline him.

About to have a very long night of asking for more info and comment, but the TL;DR is that LAPD just internally admitted that at least one member is a member of a “law enforcement gang.”

And that member by LAPD’s own internal admission did racist policing as well as brandishing firearms.

According to LAPD’s disciplinary report, one of their officers is a member participated in a “law enforcement gang.” That officer “unnecessarily pointed a firearm” at a complainant, “detained a complainant without cause,” and “took action based on upon a complainant’s race.”

A few shots from a small protest in Wauwatosa, WI. Wauwatosa is a sleepy suburb of Milwaukee perhaps best known as the launching point of the political career of former Republican governor Scott Walker.

I attended a lot of the protests this film shot, and can tell you that nobody else has quite gotten the feel of how *hateful and scary* they were if you were there.
