I don't mean to freak people out but, I sit behind a screen all day and...*weeps*...it happened to me. I am a woman. Office culture gave me estrogen. *sobs* The soft touch of my keyboard made me menstruate *wails*

Thank you 🥳
I finished a rough draft outline for my new project today and I’m so pleased with where this story can go 🥰
Casual reminder to *only* call your own representatives. Calls to other reps will not get tallied but will block calls from actual constituents that can get tallied. 🤓👍📞
We know many of you are opting to write emails instead. Totally fine! But if you do so, we strongly advise against copy/pasting our call scripts into emails. Repetitious written msgs can easily get filtered out as form letters and trashed. Emails/letters are most effective w unique personal mgs! 🤓👍📞
just an FYI that the @5calls.org app is SO useful for contacting your legislators for important issues. they provide the names, numbers, and scripts with instructions, and I highly recommend.
Found out that TWENTY emails is considered a lot to politicians on an issue.
TWENTY.
As in, they call that getting slammed.
So next time you see a request to email your rep, or call, keep that in mind.
TWENTY is a lot.
YOU: Hi, my name is [NAME]. I’m calling from [ZIP CODE]. YOU: I am calling on [HOUSE MEMBER/SENATOR] to speak out against President Trump’s actions on Monday in freezing all federal aid. This is blatantly illegal; the Executive Branch can’t unilaterally decide to ignore laws that were passed by Congress, especially when it comes to financial aid. YOU: MOC must take action, and clarify how they will stop the freeze and ensure that the millions who are directly impacted by financial aid will not be harmed. YOU: [OPTIONAL COMMENT]
Call script:
SHARE WIDELY.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.
With mass deportations starting today across the country, it is vitally important - for both citizens and non-citizens - to know your rights.
You have the right to remain silent. Assert it. You have the right to a lawyer. Ask for one.

I want to make this abundantly clear: fascism headed by tech oligarchs does not have a border. Whether you’re in a blue state or another country, it’s spreading like wildfire. Their greed is limitless. Hold your community close. We need each other now more than ever.

hi #booksky! I’m Kelsey Rodkey, an author of 4 YA romcoms! I write about morally gray, plus-size girls who mistake their way to happy endings 💙
I’m so serious about this. Do not increase your time on meta platforms. In fact, over the next 48 hours, give your attention to somewhere else. Don’t reward Zuckerberg for this. 1/

Just a reminder of some of the context around the TikTok ban: In 2020, Trump tried to ban it via executive order a couple months after K-pop fans used it to organize fake signups to Trump’s Tulsa rally, which led him to publicly overestimate how large the crowd size would be.
I miss TikTok already
It’s a smart idea, really!
Remember the time someone walked into a school with a book and malicious intent and—oh.
So we're banning Tik Tok and books in the US but not assault weapons? Got it.
Yep, I’d say she’s girly!
