Really fun game of #Carnevale last night, with my pals @yaumasta.bsky.social and Genesse. My poor drunken Pulcinellas got beat up, leaving only the barone that spurred them to action standing at the end. But it was a blast getting them out for the first time. They are hilarious. :)

Introduced another friend to Dracula's America last night. My cursed Forsakens against his holy Order. The crusaders made short work of my soldiers and gunned them down to the last man/werewolf.

I'm really happy with how the table is turning out, with the new carts and wagon!

It has a small but solid following locally. One of the players has even made a complete fan supplement for Canadian factions, based on local myths and legends. Quite cool. :)

Finished painting the Casa Maria from the Carnevale Tribe. I really like the look of the partly crumbled plaster on the walls. I wonder if I should go back over some of my Waterspire buildings now, to add some... #terrain #carnevale

Fun game of Dracula's America last night with my pal @yaumasta.bsky.social. His desert Skinwalkers made short work of my cursed Forsakens, but suffered from so many jams it was ridiculous. My table is getting quite good. Just missing some road scatter, like a carriage or a wagon, and some horses.

Thanks! I tries without the highlights, but I find that they look way to blend without it, so I go through the process. :)

My next two units are done! Spearmen and Blackguards (count as Spearmen, with probably a banner to make them a bit special).

It's a slow process, but I'm happy with that 2 units a month pledge. It lets me paint other stuff and not become bored.

Interesting. How do you deal with bigger bases, like 40 and 50mm? Still centered in hexes, and they just count as bigger for rules that compare base sizes?

Is the goal to play with hex distance instead of rulers? Or just to use an hex map as a base?

I finished a small gang of pulcinellas for Carnevale tonight! They will still need some generic Guild reinforcements until I paint some more of them, but it's a great core for the subfaction. :)

Assembling my first ostrich rider for the great Cult of the End of Days. I've read multiple times that they are quite weak at the legs, so here is my take at strengthening them. Let's hope it's enough! #carnevale #wip

I printed a 3-story house, in the same style as the others I already have on my board, to add another higher element. My board already have a lot of 1 and 2 story elements, and a lot of scatter. But I was missing some big pieces.

Tower weathered, and I was able to paint a bridge too! I even have some spare time before the monthly meetup Friday to maybe add a figure, or another building... 😆 #carnevale #terrain

That's a nice tutorial. I need more trees, so I'll probably be strongly inspired by this next time I make some!

Thanks! I big part is thanks to the 3d design. The light drybrushing gives the deeper bricks less orange, and then some random colour changes make it look less even, more natural. :)

Thanks! It was painted with those colours, over a dark brown primer. Roof is Burnt Sienna with a Drybrush of Terra Cotta. Bricks are Terra Cotta with a Drybrush of Desert Sand. Columns were sponged Cocoa and drybrush Driftwood & white. I go over some random bricks after with the other colours.

I love terrain, so I make sure I build and paint a lot of it. I'm a bit scattered focus though, so I don't have full tables worth of all my environments, but it helps set the mood a bit when added to generic stuff. :)
