More understood & less-understated. People can feel & voice their fears, with less fear, as many other's just relate. Whether a 'sign of the times' or whatever else, it's just nice to have more acceptance toward mental health.
I support people free-ing & finding who THEY are and THEIR path. <3

For some, that's the only option. Whether being med-resistant or simply, that just works for them. I don't deny people their treatments and/or paths through life as I hope people accept mine, y'know?
Rad to see folks supporting other's through & how accepted anxiety is compared to my youth.

Absolutely - I see what you mean, completely.
I'm someone, unfortunately, who is clinically ill & GREATLY benefits from meds to deny taking a proper dose of whatever I may need, prescribed, of course.
Taking things on, head-on & learning skills to cope is 100% valid, as well.

Supporting indie devs & artists is hella rad, as is supporting the creators you already enjoy.
There's just a lot of lesser-known, yet, just as cool projects going around that really should have eyes on them, if possible.
I love individuality, what can I say!

Super rad! When I was a teen, I would watch your guides & that is how I absolutely setup my best streams, with OBS.
I appreciate your dedication to your craft & work ethic. You're cool. <3

Getting treatment & learning proper coping skills has CHANGED me. I used to feel so entrapped in my mind - right now, for the first time, really, I feel like I'm where I belong & am content just existing.
Wild. I'm happy. :)

Hell yea! I was kinda worried some might take my post as self-deprecating, but I really do just mean like... it's okay to feel weak, but you're still fighting & pulling through - that definitely counts for something.
I've had anxiety HEAVY all my life. Tonight is one of the most free-ing I've had.

I really want to get Samba working on Arch Linux, so I'm trying it, once again.
Call me crazy, I definitely do distro-hop a TON - however, it's just what I do lol not much I can say.
Maybe one day, I'll settle more; for now, I'm just enjoying my hobby.
No shame in that, I'd say.

Aside from general Microsoft & Windows jank, which I could complain about all-day, I simply HATE Windows File Explorer with a burning passion.
It is... not very intuitive, it's slow as molasses & overall is clunky.
I know many cannot use Linux & that is fine, but I can and greatly prefer it.

Starting an Anxiety medication today. Refrained from posting, as I wanted to see how it went - so far, it's working incredibly well.
Large part of why I don't post, sometimes, is mostly anxiety related. I'm quite a nervous person & this is helping calm me down / break me outta my shell(s). <3

Couldn't agree more! I hate generalizing things and/or people, like, at all, but some say Linux has a reputation of people being picky, feisty & judgmental towards others choices.
I avoid that & try to encourage people find what works for them! The detail that made me love Linux: all the choices!

100% valid, and something I've thought of as well. I'm hoping this isn't real, as I'd rather people be comfortable than be the asshole yelling "NOW EVERYONE *MUST* USE LINUX, MUAHAHA"
Look, I get being hyped about your passions & wanting it to garner interest, but being snarky ain't the way!

Hell yea! It's a ton of fun seeing new users find themselves, what works & whatnot. Even if people end up finding something else, I don't really mind. It's lead to a lot of great interactions & I've made some great friends, along the way!
Linux is a hobby & passion of mine that I enjoy sharing.

Hope you enjoy your Pixel 10! I'm using the Pixel 9 Pro XL, personally & still quite love it. The Pixel 10 seems to be an 'enhanced' Pixel 9 in many ways, so I'm hype for you!
Also, I'm the same, aha. I had brief experience with Samsung, with an S20+(?), but I prefer Pixel's by quite a bit.

I've been trying to be helpful / active around Bluesky, specifically, to Linux newcomers. There's a lot of fuss from various people & different avenues to explore - so I try to be encouraging & help people find what works for them.
I quite enjoy doing it, honestly! 20 years, btw? That's rad!

fooyin
A customisable music player
If you're looking for something similar to Foobar2000 on Linux - I can easily vouch for Fooyin.
Not 100% sure about plugin support, but it definitely resembles Foobar w/ a few different layouts.
It's solid & I can recommend giving it a look, at least!

Again, I don't really use and/or care for Ai, so not much there, for me - but At a Glance now toggle-able? Right on! That's a solid change.
Took long enough, though, haha!

Just received the March update for my Google Pixel 9 Pro XL and... it's alright, I suppose.
Some niceties, in there, but overall a lot of it is Ai crap I don't really need and/or want.
Journal now has Ai on the 9-series, as well, 'At a Glance' is now FINALLY able to be turned off!

I've always stayed impartial & pretty non-harsh when it came to my stances toward or surrounding Microsoft.
I still do not care who runs what - I do, however, think this company is trash & absolutely abhorrent.
This change, alone, convinces me of such.

A bit harsher for how I normally decide to post, in terms of verbiage, but honest.
Don't be a jerk just because you know better than someone else. It's sadly such a common thing online.
Treat people how you wanna be treated - within reason, of course.

Kindness goes a long way. Be kind.

Yea, I've since read about the lack of Linux support. Crazy, even though I use Secure Boot & TPM2.0 - I couldn't play this? That's WILD decision making, but obviously/sadly, not too uncommon.
I've avoided The Game Awards ever since the 2nd one, tbh. I just find stuff that catches my eye by chance!

I installed it via the CUDA repo, for newer versions that are still Debian 'compatible'. Suffice to say, because of things like this - I absolutely understand going with Bazzite - ESPECIALLY for GPU driver related reasons.
Hope you've fun! From what I've heard, Bazzite is incredibly nice.

That's absolutely fair, aha. I've been running Linux for 6 years, as of January, so I'm able to maneuver around most distros, at least, what I know well enough.
Debian, even though I love it - I cannot use the provided NVIDIA drivers, since they're too old & lag with KDE, for me.

Hope you enjoy! Definitely can be challenging, at points, but there are plenty of distros & desktops to pick from - if Linux winds up interesting to you.
What distro are you thinkin' of, at the moment? I'm currently running Debian 13 w/ KDE Plasma as the desktop & absolutely love it!

Hearing about stuff from friends and/or browsing around myself - finding things that interest ME instead of seeing what's trendy, new & just announced at The Game Awards.
I just... it's all a tad much, to me? I prefer my gaming diet, I suppose.

I'm not gonna lie - this is my first time ever hearing of Highguard, which, I think I prefer.
My gaming habits are often single-player & indie, with the occasional online multiplayer game from time-to-time.
I just... don't care to keep up with 'modern' gaming. I like what I like & play that stuff.
