Totally agree. I would rather regret keeping players you've drafted than regret losing them for players you didn't draft that disappoint once you've acquired them.
One of my fears is accelerating the rebuild and not letting the players develop. Look at what Buffalo has traded away over the years and they are only now seeing the fruits of their labour. Improving the D core may also benefit the Canadiens goalies.
