Alderman introduces plan to punish Chicago city employees and officers for having extremist ties
The plan from Ald. Matt Martin, 47th Ward, follows growing calls for the Chicago Police Department and Mayor Brandon Johnson to fire cops with ties to extremist groups.
City employees and cops participating in extremist groups could face discipline and firing under an ordinance proposed by Ald. Matt Martin.
Meanwhile, the mayor’s office has begun to act on a recommendation by the OIG to convene a working group to assess extremism. www.wbez.org/politics/202...
