I saw a video this morning titled "when your friend recommends a spicy book but it just ends in a fade to black"
Cassandra is that friend

As a professional military strategist, I just wanted to make sure everyone has a full understanding of the American strategy in Iran, thank you for your attention to this matter
just really feels like their win condition is simply the fact that killing people makes this administration feel powerful and theyβre reasonably confident Congress wonβt stop them from just blowing shit up for funzies as long as they can get away with it
A broader takeaway I think is nobody should be allowed to be so rich that being told no, or being held accountable, represents such a moral injury to that person's psyche that they feel like their only recourse is to burn the world down.
I hate that the debate we are constantly having in the 21st century is "we have to let the most evil fuckers alive do whatever the hell they want VS no we don't"
The world could be such a nice place if we allowed it. It's all so goddamn unnecessary. There's no need for any of it. It's so beautiful here. It should be so cool to be alive
if I catch A SINGLE ONE OF YOU doing this to our trans friends in Kansas, I will fucking wreck you.
the politicians doing this to Kansas are evil. the people it is being done to deserve support and help and to not have to deal with your sadistic little jokes. grow a fucking soul.
Might feel awkward since you don't (yet) know him well, but the most valuable thing to people like him is time and connection to others.
So I'm gonna say, living in an area and working with a lot of older folks (whcih I'm assuming this gentleman is) he probably has enough stuff, and the gift you could give him that would mean the most is a dinner invitation. Invite him over for a homecooked meal with you and your roommates.
Please read this article to the end. Even before ICE got involved, this started because this *blind man who speaks no English and uses a curtain rod as a walking stick* got lost on a walk and some Karen called the police on him and they tasered and beat him bc he didnβt drop the rod. WTF
15gb of 5G. For $35/month.
Why are companies like this?
Why wasn't I auto upgraded to a comparable plan?
Why did the kid in the store tell me my only option was more expensive?
(I know why, you don't have to tell me, this is just stupid.)
I bit the bullet and logged into my account to upgrade it.
I have used 0% data at today's end of billing cycle, as an illustration of how poorly my phone had been doing.
Anyways, upgrade options! Turns out my $45/month for 8gb and 4G wasn't an option anymore. So I upgrade it to...
So I popped over to Verizon to be like heyyyyy how much would it cost to be on the 5G prepaid? Guy said $55 a month (I pay $45 rn) for like twice as much data that i don't use. I said let me think on it.
After talking to all my friends and double checking that Verizon was my best bet around here,
My phone has struggled to get a signal anywhere, even in a downtown city, since June. I ignored it for a while, just hopped on wifi whenever available, but it started causing work problems, so I got a new one Saturday.
Best Buy helper pointed out it would work best with 5G, and my sim was 4G.
That looks so good!
So why have the bots pivoted to "my side" of things? What's going on in the background?
Like I said, no conclusions, but just because I'm seeing more comments that think like me does not mean I suddenly believe *they* are real people.
more people posting what me and my friends think. Much fewer rage baiters, and more people agreeing ICE sucks, the govmnt sucks, this has to stop.
I do not believe the bots are suddenly gone.
I do not believe the algorithm has responded to my downvotes and is showing me more of what I want to see.
I am cooking up a suspicion in the back of my head. I probably won't come to any conclusions, but...
For a few years now, FB comment feeds have just been filled with obvious bots. Rage baiting, bootlicking, pro-government. But the last week or so, when I've gone into comment sections, it's been...
Played Scarlet Hollow episode 5 on my original save file, took ten minutes to pee and grab a snack, then immediately loaded up my second save file. If I didn't insist on trying to do voices for all the characters and wreck my throat on Wayne's, I'd be jumping into the third right now.
π« I'm not sad or anything, I'm just.... tired? And I don't feel like I have anything to look forward to. I've honestly forgotten what it feels like to have a will to live because I just feel so apathetic when I don't feel rage.
I can feel myself slipping back into what is the point mode. Like, not active suicidal ideation, but.... what's the point of being here? why keep trying so hard?why not just walk into the sea?
Yeah, replacing lenses costs as much as new glasses (sometimes more) and you still have the wear and tear on the frames. I did it once, and then after that I just get the prescription from the optometrist then go to like ZenniOptical or something.
and people tell me *I'm* patient....
We are 5 minutes into The Mitchells vs the Machines and this is the most autistic family I have ever seen portrayed in media.
A US Marshal who is part of Trump's surge of feds in DC shot and killed someone in DC yesterday evening and there is barely any coverage and not a single post on here yet about it? wtop.com/dc/2026/02/u...
Y'all, ICE thugs are still terrorizing people in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
They are counting on America looking away, and it's currently working. Please tell everyone you know, please reach out to people with huge followings, and ask them to help refocus our attention on the ongoing abuses.
I feel like if I were more charismatic/an activist, I'd be trying to activate people on rank choice voting. Because clearly the "hold your nose and vote Democrat to stop Republicans" isn't working for people, so we need to change the system. They don't get dominance anymore.
Just finished Twelve Months. Bear my beloved. But also my favorite exchange of the book was:
"Did you threaten to defenestrate my partner just before I came up here?"
"No," I said defensively. "There are no windows up here."
Of course, none of this is true. But we all want to believe in karma, that the universe is ultimately a just place. pair that with hostility towards education, and fuck. it really feels like some people never stood a chance to see what's really going on around them.
combine that with decades of concerted messaging cementing an us vs them mentality, claiming people who believe like them (christians, or white men, or small town values) are under attack and *that* is why life is so hard now, and the lie that any of us might magically become a billionaire...
