I hate selling stuff on Facebook marketplace. I already hate getting messages from strangers in general, but it's so much worse when they come in with this expectant energy. Some people are just straight up rude, and lots of people are just straight up bots. Haha

I'll end on a hopeful note: make art, make it clear that you made it with your own brain, your own hands, etc. Your fingerprints are the most beautiful thing about it. Share your human experience in big and small ways. Let your joy and pain be known. The world is lucky to have us. AI cannot compare.

If you knew how bad social media/constant screens would ultimately be for us, wouldn't you wanna go back and make some changes to your own behaviors, or try and shift cultural and systemic choices in your own way? I feel like that's what I'm doing when I make art right now. It's something.

The likeliest scenario right now is that we'll all look back at this moment in five years and think "god, I hate that we have this now and I hate all the damage it's done." And that makes me so, so sad.

AI (esp. recreational/image-based AI) is a form of systemic oppression. It's being used to disrupt art and industry in the service of a few fat pigs at the top. We all partake in systems that do not serve equally or fairly. Let's not play a part in this one. It's not too late to avoid getting stuck.

My upstairs neighbors either have a new daily workout routine or they just be fuckin' at 4 every day, but I don't wanna ruin their good time so I guess I'll just put on my headphones.

I understand the need to pivot to thrive, but I hate hate HATE how most art youtubers are now also lifestyle youtubers (often more lifestyle content than art). I do. Not. CARE. what you had for lunch, I wanna see you make art. I hate that the platform basically demands this for relevance.

For context, I have very limited experience with Dragon Quest as a whole, and have chosen to avoid the HD-2D games because I'm not wild about that graphical style. Played some of XI on Switch but lost steam on it, can't really say why. I fear I'd lose steam with VII as well, that's my only concern.

I played the Dragon Quest VII Reimagine demo and I gotta say, it gives you a lot for a free demo. I put 4 and a half hours into it! I was totally charmed by it, the doll-like presentation of the whole thing works and it's all very cozy. I'm tempted to buy it...might wait for a sale. But I dug it!

I'm an artist, I don't run on a normal schedule!
