It is my enduring opinion that fanning the "dead game!" flames by repeating concurrent player stats, is asshole behaviour and you don't get to then act shocked if the game doesn't take off!

Here are its numbers compared to (other, completely different game with a wildly different playerbase and set of expectations) clearly it's failed.

One thing I'd like to see Steam do that would be an instant improvement for browsing Next Fest is a toggle for AI generated content, which I know wouldn't be a complete solution because a lot of shady devs use generative AI and don't disclose it, but it would've helped filter some of the slop out.
