There's already a lot of fan art of her! I myself am hoping for Cactus or Valve man tho
I've always wanted to meet and chat with @jiikae.com just to get his takes on literally any topic he has thoughts on. This episode was a good excuse to do that. Thanks for giving us the time of day, really admire your insight and honesty!

i've made a new comic called "TOY STORY II: a sequel to Toy Story".
Always love talking about lesser known games and this episode is nothing but that. The N64 is a console that holds a special place in my heart, and you'd be surprised how many exclusives are worth playing. Thank you @paperdawn.bsky.social for bringing in your insight and personal knowledge too!
Funny enough the idea for this episode started when YOU asked me for my top N64 games!
We're recording with special guest @jiikae.com about The Gamer Aesthetic. Got thoughts about gamer fashion (or lack there of) or the vibes of your favorite consoles? Ask/Tell use about it here:

Boothing with @jmanvelez.bsky.social at Rocket City Retro this weekend! Come say hey, help tempt me to impulse buy something complete in box.
Crazy that I've been doing this show with @jmanvelez.bsky.social for a year now! I'm lucky to have been approached to do a project like this by such and amazing co-host. Looking forward to the next year of episodes as we try to make it to 50.
I was going through the bibliography the other day to see where to start. No joke.

There's something rather poetic about the Ninja Gaiden Trilogy only being legally accessible through either paying about $200 USD for a copy on the SNES, or getting 50 scarabs, and accomplishing a series of easter egg tasks in Ninja Gaiden 2004 on the Xbox at a fraction of the price.
Aw thanks Nina!
I am so proud of this one haha. Thank you so much @jalopes.bsky.social and the @traindetective.bsky.social team for the shoutout!! I was so happy to be a part of the team for the brief time I was able to ππ Good memories!
I'm so happy to see this!! ππ
Extremely cool art of Detective Instinct's cast, illustrated by @jmanvelez.bsky.social! π
ditch the longform 2 hour vgm vibe playlists. make playlists of actual tracks from actual games. be intentional. if youβre intentional, you wonβt be nearly as likely to fall for obvious bait like this. another really great reason why crediting and id-ing the music youβre listening to is valuable
I'll try and make it out if weather permits! Really want that FROG!

ARIEL (1986-2006): A dynamic sci-fi action illustration of a female cyborg with long flowing silver-white hair and intense red eyes, posed aggressively in mid-air within a futuristic industrial interior featuring glowing orange and blue-lit panels and structural beams. She wears form-fitting orange and metallic armor with mechanical joints, shoulder pads, and thigh-high plating, while wielding a massive black assault rifle with a large magazine and integrated bayonet. Numerous sharp metallic blades, gun barrels, missiles, and mechanical appendages radiate outward from her body like an explosive arsenal, creating a sense of overwhelming firepower. The background shows dramatic lighting contrasts with fiery orange glows and dark shadows.

It was great looking back and reflecting on how much the indie scene has changed. Thanks @cutemonster.bsky.social for a great episode!
