The most dangerous thing about AI chat bots is how many men with political power treat them *exactly* and unquestioningly like actual Ancient Greek oracles.
Calling AI "slop" has been one of the most effective instances of the public rebranding a product and it pisses them off.
Looks like you cannot assert a copyright privilege over "art" that wasn't made by a human being. So go rip off those Coke commercials and maybe even the LLM versions of Disney characters all you want!!!

I am unsure how technically accurate it is, but from a gut instinct a fair way to describe LLMs is that itβs a 3D printer for thoughts, but is not the same thing as something that does your thinking for you.
βA person made thisβ is impressive and sometimes awe inspiring, βa person got a machine to make thisβ can be clever but is rarely, like, amazing
Hi! Not yet but we will soon! We're releasing a teaser next week with a trailer to follow. And don't worry-- we will be doing screenings through the year so no rush to convience everyone this week.
One cool thing about unequivocally hating AI is that you will be proven right over and over again every single day
I like how they're giving mandatory rest breaks and self nourishment time to a fucking chatbot but expecting their new hires to put in 80 hour weeks and sleep at their desks
@rudygasson.bsky.social Please email us and weβd love to connect you with a way to screen! π€

Hey, we will be here handing out our #NotAI buttons! Come meet and march with us in London next weekend.
AI is like if the only opinions you were allowed to have about aerospace are βairplanes arenβt realβ and βwe should give a klansman handing out cardboard wings and telling people to jump off buildings a trillion dollars.β
"Why should I bother to read something someone else couldn't be bothered to write?"
Speakers will share their unique perspectives on how documentary makers can harness AI creatively while safeguarding truth and trust. (You can guess where we land on this one?)

Staring at the stack of IT emails promising me Claude and Gemini will make my work easier, on the one hand, and the growing number of stories about researchers churning out dozens of papers with NotebookLM and ChatGPT Scholar, on the other.
Great.

βI'm not sure at all that this is any great technical project. This is really a project of shepherding people, controlling people, bullyingβ¦ Itβs a project that, throughout, has been propelled by threats and the threat of exclusion.β - Usha Ramanathan on Aadhaar, digital public infrastructure and AI
