Working on my article about good Steam Next Fest games this month, but just wanted to shout out @allwillrise.bsky.social. Normally narrative "Visual Novel" esque games aren't what I go for, but the environmentalist plot, the compelling use of cards as social combat, it hooked me.
Go give it a shot!
A new entry in the “This Game Is Killer” board game series by @smirkanddagger.bsky.social has arrived, and it’s a brutal hilarious mess of fun. In Frozen Horror, you and up to 9 friends relive “The Thing”. What can possibly go wrong?

The start of the SCIRE mega game.
We had such an amazing time playing the SCIRE mega game at #PAXUnplugged! Based on CBR+PNK and run by @mythworks.bsky.social, it was a massive ttrpg of 60+ players who had to try and survive, get transformed, forced to change teams, and tons of other surprises. Absolutely worth the experience.
If you get to the far corner of the #PAXUnplugged expo hall is @absurdistprod.bsky.social and they have an amazing board game called Winter Rabbit. Made by a Cherokee team and written in both Cherokee and English, it’s a semi-cooperative game of surviving winter!
Worth checking out if you can!
It’s great to see Nature by @northstargames.bsky.social out for sale, with all the expansions! One of the first places we stopped at #PAXUnplugged. If you ever liked playing Evolution or Oceans, it’s absolutely worth checking out!
