Anyway here's me from this morning with fuck-all sleep for the last 4 days, up early 2 days in a row, in high pain/high fatigue mode and ready to crash hard ✌🏻

And that being said, I also plan to sleep for the next three days to recover when my body finally realises what we've been up to and goes "AHHHH BEING SOCIAL AND GOING OUT TO EVENTS?! OH JAIL! JAIL FOR BRAIN FOR 1000 YEARS!"

I still put my body first and didn't try to do all of this as if I'm abled. I listened to pain or tiredness alerts and I was mindful of not trying to add extra stuff in just because I managed this stuff well. But I'm so glad I decided to go for things I would have backed out of a few years ago.

Being a chronic illness/pain/fatigue person pretty much takes over your life. I plan everything around how my body & brain will feel. But I still want to enjoy life, so I'm pushing myself to do fun things. Sunday got my lip repierced, went to a gig yday and have another gig today. It's been fun 😊

He usually smiles vapidly but when annoyed he gives me this rare shady look.

Yelling "I already told you NO" at a repeated ad on my phone, Nimrod gets a wee fright and his ears go back.

I pet him and say "Sorry buddy I'm not yelling at you, I'm yelling at the fuckin' Catholics"

Painting FINISHED 💪🏻 it was actually done a couple of days ago but I ended up being busy and then was gaming all day so finally remembered to photograph it and post it today 😅

Ripley has gotten used to the fact that I nap regularly (chronic pain & illness, yay) so if I'm asleep and he wants more of his food, he gently taps my face with his paw OR gently hooks a paw round my earphone wire to pull them out to signal me to get his bowl for him. It is stupidly adorable. 2/3

Ripley (grumpy void) is a grazer and will eat a few bites of food then head off. Since we got his brother Nimrod (tuxedo himbo), who would eat rocks if they had gravy on them, I have had to hide Ripley's food in my bed drawer because he can find it and devour it anywhere else. 1/

When I bashed my cold hand on the hard wood of my bed, I let out a prolonged roar not unlike the one he releases in this scene.

Went out to the front garden to plant tulips, replant Fuschia and lavender, and do the last bit of weeding. Neighbours saw me being chill & normal. Then 2 hours later they defo heard me indoors, screaming in utter rage after I bashed my cold hand on the bed while trying to clean up cat puke.

Got up at 5am to go for a bus at 7am to get to my clinic for semi-regular blood test before it closes at 11am. Was almost ready to go when eyes got irritated, had to take off makeup, eyes got too sore, now I'm back in jammies and about to play Dragon Age Origins until I need more sleep.

I was painting with gauche and had all my stuff on my desk so couldn't migrate to the bed (I'm also very clumsy so that painting would end up on the bed 😅)

How am I supposed to work under these conditions (a dark, rainy, blustery October day with two sleepy cats and a very comfy bed beckoning me)

My reason is so that I could read at least 5 books at the literal same time.

My partner and I often talk about wishing we had the power of Dr. Manhattan to split off into multiples of ourselves while still being completely aware of/focused on whatever we were doing. His reason is for efficiency in doing mandatory stuff (work) and enjoying hobbies with no time wasted.

Up until I got sick, I would create art almost every day, just lose myself in work until suddenly it was dark, I was thirsty and my body unfurled like a knot, and it felt wonderful. Now I struggle to even doodle, let alone do entire projects, like my body is in creative sleep paralysis.

Woke up on the wrong side of the bed, bubbling over with rage because my fat cat kept doing parkour on my torso and the pain set off my chronic lung pain, and now I'm back in bed looking at other people's art wondering how much more work I could do if my body hadn't been in pain the past 13 years.
