Wishing all you beautiful people in my phone a merry Christmas filled with love and too much food!!
More experimenting with how the Level in low mode gently shifts the camera CG and how that affects top/bottom balance on the sled. Very interesting physics happening
Standicam operator for hire; the tripod that bleeds. Also gets in the way of actors trying to exit the frame
ceci n'est pas une sled
Big show tonight! First concert I ever did that had its own Greggβs backstage! All you can eat sausage rolls at wrap. Best concert I ever worked! Nothing but love for lady Gaga
Operator in the sheets, gentleman in the streets π
Itβs my birthday again! I feel like I went through this just last year but I guess you can all have a slice of cake if you want. Letβs party π₯³
That time I hung out of a plane attached to a dude with a parachuteβ¦the things I do for a cool shot π°
Experimenting with my Vision Pro app (and the little hardware box that handles video and other stuff) and the Magellan 65mm camera. Obviously can only share this little test while we were screwing around but you get the idea hopefully π
The Magellan 65mm camera on the Level! Works fantastic, even with the humongous amount of offset weight that a film camera gives, there wasnβt even a single jitter or offlevel shot π₯³
Sometimes 35mm just feels too small. Why not try 65mm film instead? π¬
Look at this gorgeous bit of engineering. Super rare geared head, apparently only four in the world. Just a stunning bit of kit for my fellow camera gear heads to drool over π€
Quick test of my Vision Pro app, the HUD viewfinder is now in the center (which works really well) and the LiDAR map is now slightly angled to make it easier to detect obstacles around you. Works really well, quite chuffed with the progress here. Next step: virtual sets
Shooting in bloody Gotham City, Liverpool, innit mate
Probably the best camera crew shirt Iβve ever gotten. Still pissed I missed out on the Andor shirts but this is close enough π₯³
One of the most badass operator pictures Iβve ever seen. The legendary Jacques Monge, the most French guy to ever French. This is how a real man does 3D π
It is. Taken a few weeks ago
Our EXT. - NIGHT is bigger than yours π
Hey dude, wanna come chase cars at ridiculously high speeds with me? Get in!
Serenading the Steadicam, what song would you sing to it?
Finding this old pic of me reminded me of how big and cumbersome early digital film cameras were. I believe this was a Sony CineAlta with a Pro35 lens adapter, anyone who remembers thoseβ¦you have my sympathies π₯Ί
Anyone remember the brief period we were all racing our Steadicams around on modified Segways? Those things were so much fun to race around on!
Remember to dress at the start of the day how you expect to look at the end of it. π
Happy international cat day friends! Hug your kitty and give them extra treats today
This Cain't it, chief
Hereβs new bestie, Steadicam operator Zack Clevenger, trying out the alpha of my Operator Vision app. His glowing review: βit barely made me throw upβ! Iβd call that a win
A fresh can of Ruben always hits the spot
Is that why even this post was somehow labeled as "intolerance"? I had to click to view it! What kind of crappy moderation is this if it is this easy to manipulate?
