I can believe that. I live in the middle of UP territory, so I only rarely see BNSF, and haven’t seen a CSX or Norfolk in person. I think the old Conrail livery was a lot cooler than the CSX livery.

That and caffeine free Diet Coke are both huge sellers in Utah. Heck, they even sell caffeine free regular Coca Cola.

It’s a shame that railroad consolidation has resulted in so many cool livery designs from the early diesel period being relegated to the past or the occasional cynical “heritage” paint scheme. UP and BNSF particularly have my ire, though CSX and Norfolk Southern suck too.

Too bad they didn’t have the balls.
