AA did the same to me. Got fed up calling them every year to bring the price down to a sensible level. I now have it as part of the insurance package which is a lot cheaper for me.

I have an EV (BMW) and it also happens when I take my foot off the accelerator. It’ll apply the brakes. It takes a little getting used to because you end up stopping way too soon before the traffic lights.

Sounds like regenerative braking. If the road is slightly downhill it’ll apply the brakes to get a few drops of charge. Hence the break lights being applied.

I’d like to avoid it but plumbers/electricians/etc. are only using WhatsApp and local clubs/community groups likewise. So hard to delete without isolating yourself from important networks.
