Duolingo humorous question. Japanese Kanji spells "Niwa ni wa ni wa niwatori ga ir" which means there are two chickens in the garden. A bit like the English "the train goes from two too two to two two"
This made me chuckle. It's pronounced

Probably a bit harsh, there was some social history in there too, feudalism and industrialisation. Maybe it's different now, I was in school in the 80s :D
British may be an exaggeration in English education. I don't think the other home nations merited a mention at all frankly, and the only mentions of Empire were in relation to the loss of the Virginia colonnies.
School was basically 1066, the Tudors (quick gloss, 6 wives and the armada), roundheads good cavaliers bad, defeating Hitler....err that's it, and that's for the ones who didn't spend history classes sticking compasses into peoples heads and telling teacher to go f himself :D
