Hey, just an update for y’all. I spent the last while in the hospital, surgery was a success and I have most of my internal organs still.

Recovery is going to suck, but it’s all going to get better from here. Excited to start doing art again.

Revisiting an artist I’ve loved colouring, today we’re ending 2025 with @stockmannate.bsky.social

Nate’s put up with me for half my life now, since I was 15, and gave me guidance on a lot of my early work. Watching his career build has been amazing, and colouring him is a joy each and every time.

I don’t believe in curses or luck until I play DnD with my boy Sam.

In one campaign, I rolled 4 Nat 20’s against him. As a joke I rolled again, a fifth Nat 20.

In my current campaign, 5 sessions in, multiple Nat 20s against Sam. Nobody else.

Last night I sent a video rolling about a joke. Nat 20.

I don’t know if I’ll be able to consider my career a success if I never put colour down on a Hulk book.

This is very true. Create your art. One of the greatest joys in my life is that I can create something and it can touch the lives of more people than I will ever know. And if doing something I love can bring other people happiness, then that is enough.

Don’t need a list, I need people to be happy.

Dude’s work is dynamic, never fails to be visually interesting, and always promises to elevate your comic.

If I had 28 hours in my day, I’d sleep the extra hours. No question!

The coffee you take at rest is always better than the one you drink half of, forget, remember 4 hours later and drink cold because you have work to do.

That’s meant to be 18 hour days. I’m older, not smarter.

30 now, I recently worked 9am-5am to hit some deadlines. As much as I worked for and love making comics, I don’t want to make comics like I did in my 20’s, I want to sleep at night and see the sun.

Is it wrong of me to vote for The Go To Guys? It’s brilliant on its own, but I feel like it really compliments the whole cover too.
