Whoa. I have so many questions! Are these rural districts, or suburbs? And how do they compare to your district's assessed property values and poverty rates? Does the state use both measures to set the redistribution, or just property taxes?

If you happen to know how much your school district has to set aside for increases in health care premiums, I would love to know.

And if anyone knows a news source, nonprofit, research group, etc. tracking health care costs in education, I'm all ears and eyes...

It's school board budget season in the U.S.! I'm listening in on the board in a neighboring Maine town that's looking at a 14% annual increase in health policy premiums. That's the range I keep seeing: 10-15% increases in health care premiums year-over-year. That's INSANE and UNSUSTAINABLE.

I'm wondering if you would be able to share an accessible version of this enticing article?

lol, looks better than the too-green honeydew, though. They usually taste like cardboard. Maybe it's cantaloupe time for us both?

Also, his abuse of the semicolon is disqualifying. Just freaking stop it.

Rich that his definition of intelligence is focusing on one thing at a time.

Imagine if women in power defined it instead? Intelligence as the capability to think about and do multiple things at once.

Those people who can only think about one thing at a time? Who can't multi-task?

Bless.

Can they repeal pi being irrational while they're at it? It would be so much more convenient if it equaled, for example, 3

You can't... repeal... a scientific finding. At that point it's just called lying about it.

I see my feckless senator, Susan Collins, standing by with her hands clasped while he insults a professional woman right in front of her.

Gnashing my teeth in rage over here.

Please yell at your congressional representatives to impeach Pam Bondi. I'd do it too, but my congresswoman nearly threw a punch at a guy just after calling for it herself

We in Maine have been watching and learning closely, and we are recording just as much. Deep bow () to brave and tough Minnesotans.

The 5-year-old arrested by ICE In Minnesota is detained at Dilley. We reported on conditions there in the below article.

Parents said the food was contaminated with mold and worms & that children were so under so much stress that they were hitting their own faces & wetting themselves.

Bible-Based Lessons for Public Schools Get Final Approval in Texas The state’s board of education narrowly voted to allow schools to start using the reading and language arts curriculum next fall if they choose.

Time is zero-sum. When Texas adds Bible content to its curriculum, it is going to supplant, not supplement, other content.

The most remarkable example I've identified is their 5th grade teaching of MLK's Letter from a Birmingham Jail.

Governor Mills’ Statement on Potential Federal Law Enforcement Operations in Maine This is "Governor Mills’ Statement on Potential Federal Law Enforcement Operations in Maine" by Office of Governor Janet Mills on Vimeo, the home…

Portland and Lewiston, Maine are next on the list of diverse blue cities with governors that have stood up to Trump. The dread and fear among our neighbors and our daughters' friends and classmates is so real and so cruel that I want to scream my head off.

Here's our governor's response today.

15.01.2026 03:16 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

"Maine knows what good law enforcement looks like. Our law enforcement are held to high professional standards, undergo substantial professional training, are accountable to the law, & I can tell you this, they don't wear a mask to shield their identities, & they don't arrest people to fill quotas."

ICE is headed to Maine The Mayors of Portland and Lewiston confirmed Wednesday ICE's imminent presence.

ICE is coming to Portland and Lewiston imminently, their mayors confirmed today. Both cities have large Somali populations.

When reached for comment, ICE wouldn’t even confirm whether or not this action was happening.
