UCC Department of Theatre Workshops at The Granary Theatre 5 - 6pm UCC Youth Theatre Open Workshop (Fionn Woodhouse) Dive into the realm of theatre with an immersive introductory workshop with UCC Youth Theatre. Through group exercises, drama games and storytelling, participants will gain drama skills, meet new people and have fun! Designed to offer a taster of what happens in a youth theatre workshop, we will explore performance, develop theatre capability, and unleash your creative potential! Suitable for 13-18 year olds. 6.30 - 7.30pm UCC BA Theatre Taster Workshop (Professor Jools Gilson) Ever wondered what it’s like to be a student in the Theatre Department at UCC? Now’s your chance to find out! Come and join us for a playful introduction to devising theatre performance and collaboration. This is a one hour workshop which will start with a gentle warm-up, move on to small group exercises and explore how to make theatre with just what we’re standing up in. No experience necessary. Suitable for 18 + year olds.

UCC Music Live Performances 7pm, Music Building, St. Vincent's, Sunday's Well Road, T23 HF 50 Live music performances at UCC's Department of Music in St. Vincent's, Sunday's Well Music at UCC invites you to the Music Building in Sunday’s Well, to enjoy a series of short music performances by students and staff of the Department of Music. Come along to experience a range of music styles, traditions and genres taking place throughout the beautiful building. Shuttle buses will depart from outside the Honan Chapel on the main UCC campus from approximately 6.45pm, bringing attendees to the Music department.
Cork Opera House, 4pm-6pm Hear, Here! This installation is the result of UCC’s Masters by Research Studentship and the UCC | Cork Opera House Creating Together Partnership. 2024-25 recipient of the UCC-Cork Opera House MRes Studentship: Joshua Dyson A New Way of Listening to Cork Hear, Here! is an immersive sound installation that harnesses the unique technological infrastructure and acoustic character of Cork Opera House to redefine how we listen to, and experience space. This is the culmination of extensive research into spatial audio, site-specific acousmatic composition, and auditory world-building. Audiences can actively engage with the familiar venue in an unconventional and exploratory way. More information on the Cork Opera House website.
