I don't live in America but my life has been made drastically worse and more dangerous by the box people ticked there, not to mention everyone I care about. If I'm entitled to express my opinion about that decision, maybe people outside Maine are entitled to have their say.
I love this so much. I think whoever is responsible should be able to put it on their CV as a certified morale-booster.
The reason we have βstupid rules of engagementβ is to make sure we donβt bomb elementary schools.
How about we launch a redirect mission to make it hit?
Once again I will point out that most deaths in early concentration camps occur from illness and poor conditions. But these deaths are not accidents; this is one of the intended outcomes of a concentration camp.
It's possible you were wrong. But he wouldn't be the first person whose politics fundamentally changed after a stroke. I'm not saying this was what happened, but it's not unprecedented, and not something anyone can predict.
It meant "f*ck Ukraine" but not everyone knew it. The few who didn't probably didn't account for Trump's winning margin, but they were a chunk of it.
Also notably an astonishingly high turnout for a by-election, down just 0.2% on the general. Been a long time since a by-election turnout was so close to the general in that seat.
Not so sure about that. Lots of bad consequences in the long run, but arguably it's the reason once the monarchy came back they offered only modest resistance to the gradual shift to parliamentary democracy - they could see the consequences of saying no.
Also Brexit.
AIPAC EE @AIPAC X.com β’@RoKhanna isn't seeking facts β he's seeking cover to repeat a modern blood libel. 3 Ro Khanna & @RoKhanna β’ 1d Today, I'm calling on the DNC to release the full 2024 autopsy report. We need to deal with the hard truths about the genocide in Gaza.
Calling the claim of genocide a βblood libelβ dilutes the meaning of one of the most dangerous antisemitic tropes in history.
Weaponizing this term makes it harder to identify when actual blood libel is directed at Jews and weakens the very language we need to protect ourselves.
Surely if it was full service there wouldn't be the guys on either side of her? Never occurred to me she was prepping to do more than a strip show, but I thought it was pretty weird even then.
I'm guessing the argument for 3, besides your point, is that the LNP more likely to go for it. Despite your data, LNP probably think they're a chance for NT to be 2 right one left, whereas they know in ACT 2 left 1 right is the best they can hope for. If went to 4, right never gets 2 in ACT.
Thanks for doing the modelling, but I make it 8 out of 10. Exceptions NT 2013, ACT 2022
I just can't.
Sure. But when this guy is being platformed all over the place saying he's been rejected for tenure because of his politics, it's pretty strong evidence there might be another reason.
Particularly since his citations are not improving.
That's an outstanding idea. But it only lasts as long as she's in, and it's going to be an uphill struggle for Democrats to hold the governorship this November.
This is utterly disgusting. Also appalling, there will be near or total silence from those claiming to be "gender critical" but to not hate trans people. I'd be happy to hear exceptions, but they'll be few. Most of those saying "oh we just want..." will be fine with jailing trans people for driving.
Yikes
The trove of files released by the Department of Justice, illuminates Epsteinβs deep interest and entrenchment in the scientific community.
But the files also underscore how he used his power and money in ways that kept women out of places where they might succeed. https://bit.ly/4qWgPLz
Since his greatest and perhaps only joy is causing pain to those he despises, to the point of being willing to make the planet uninabitable to annoy the greenies, I imagine he's very happy about it indeed.
I don't think any of them are suspicious however, but it could just mean that Democrats feel strongly between Crocket and Talarenco, where Republicans don't care much about their options. Or that Democrats expect obstruction from Ice on polling day and so are voting early.
It's showing an enormous increase in turnout in the Texas Democrat Senate primary relative to 2022, but only a small increase in Republican turnout. People are getting excited because they see this as being an indication of an enthusiasm gap, which it might be, but there are other explanations.
For good or ill, colonies on other worlds are once again looking a long way off, but there's nothing to stop us dreaming about interplanetary sports competitions.
I had no idea you were one of us.
Not as good a dinosaur story as my previous one, but they go together well. An enormous field of Triassic dinosaur tracks found five months ago between two of the venues in the winter olympics www.iflscience.com/world-class-...
Funnily enough, the left is not united. Most left wingers getting labelled anti-semitic are being smeared for opposing the slaughter of Palestinians, but some are saying things like "Epstein represents all Jews" and "Ethnic cleansing is ok when it's of Israeli Jews", and some of the left ignores it.
It was a once-good group that had steadily degraded across the board and not representitive of "the left" in general, but if you don't think elements like this exist, you're living in fantasy land. And theyre're getting stronger.
I quit a left-wing FB group I used to be in after someone called for the elimination of all Jews from Israel/Palestine, and other than one comment looking for clarification, all the others were endorsing the idea that yep, ethnic cleansing was the way to go until my wife posted a WTF.
