PrintKits had me building WiFi-enabled fireworks powered by an Arduino, held together with solder, patience, and questionable decision-making.
4 days of nonstop 3D printing later… I survived.

I live a few miles from Sandy Hook. Every new mass shooting rips the wound open again. Trans kids exist everywhere; so do mental-health struggles. The difference is NRA-bought politics here is the US. Blaming kids is cruel—and a distraction from the real problem.

Just finished May’s project: a screw sorter! Super fun build—I even gave it a candle wax spa treatment like it was a fancy medieval robot. Slightly modded a part, learned a lot. Got a better PLA lube idea? Hit me up! 🛠️🕯️🔩

This was the upgrade, the original used 3.5” floppy disks, I remember when it upgraded to this it was so much faster and quieter

Alien3D print project for March is completed, this one was fun, I successfully soldered the pins on to the Pico, thank you @calebkraft.bsky.social for making this happy, next step is to figure out which part of the code changes the function of this button

I kept checking the site, and as soon as all the files were available, I printed them. Everything was ready by the time the box arrived!

Today’s watch is the E. Stohlman Earl—classy enough for a night in Harbor East, tough enough for a crab feast. The white MOP dial shines like the Harbor at sunset, the rhodium-plated sterling silver case is fancier than a Pimlico hat.

Made in Maryland, so local, it yells “O!” during the anthem.

Thank you for the response, I really appreciate your hard work, it’s an amazing design and can’t wait to get it up and running, I ordered a bigger printer, it will be here on Sunday, and this will be its first print job

Thank you for the reply and it’s nice meeting you, at this point I am thinking of upgrading to a better printer, I won’t be using it a whole lot, do you have a recommendation for a new printer preferably would like to keep it to under $500

Which brand would you recommend? I am a beginner and honestly I will most like only use it to build UFO kits and once in a blue moon something else

Actually don’t worry about it, I just googled my printer (wide x-maker)and it’s known for the small bed, i am looking into getting a replacement, I am liking the creality ended 3 V3 plus, what do you thing of that one?

What a fun build, I am redoing it with some minor modifications, this was my first @alieneila.com Alien 3D UFO box, yes I made some mistakes, I had to order dip switches to replace the one I melted with the soldering iron 🙂 this was fun and I learned a lot
