George Cottrell is a convicted fraudster and should be nowhere near British politics.
Reform need to explain why they’re happy to have him as one of Farage’s key lieutenants.
I welcome our Government’s commitment to investing in high‑quality DEXA scanners for #osteoporosis and other bone-related health issues 🌹🏥
All part of the much needed shift from sickness to prevention.
We're fixing the front door of the NHS.
More GPs. Same-day urgent appointments. Backed by an extra £485 million for GP practices.
Through investment and modernisation, we are rebuilding our NHS.
I feel immensely sad about Kevin's passing. Whilst I can't of course pretend for a moment to agree with his politics, Kevin was a genuinely decent man who, especially following his illness, threw himself into his work and helped secure local campaigning victories - working effortlessly together with those of us of all political stripes to get things done in the community like in Nansledan. My thoughts are with his friends and family at this time. May he rest in peace.
My statement on the passing of Cllr Kevin Towill.

Yesterday, we attended a parliamentary panel on the UK’s Role as a Global Debt and Tax Superpower in the Wake of Aid Cuts along with Tax Justice UK , @savechildrenuk.bsky.social , @bondngo.bsky.social and @labourcid.bsky.social.
Fantastic news for leaseholders as ground rents capped at £250!
The South West has 444,733 leasehold properties - residents will now be able to benefit from stronger rights and lower ground rents.
With new leasehold flats banned this marks the beginning of the end of the feudal leasehold system.
Holocaust Memorial Day offers us an opportunity to reflect on the millions who were murdered for no other reason than who they were.
We must learn from their loss and work every day to build a better, brighter, and more just world, and remember those that were so unfairly taken.
Clean power is the route to energy security, jobs and billpayers protected from volatile fossil fuel markets.
It is an opportunity for all of Europe, and Britain is doubling down:
Victims *must* be at the heart of the Service Justice System and we are strengthening protections and improving accountability to do just that in our Armed Forces Bill.
This is a no-fail mission for me.

Labour Government to end cancer care postcode lottery for rural and coastal areas with new, targeted, training places.
I still hear far too many stories from my constituents about inadequate access to basic care, and this is something we are working hard to turn around.

January has been an absolutely bonkers month for constituents' casework, with 1000 cases created already, just three weeks in. Top issues have been the WASPI campaign and a social media ban.
Thanks to all my constituents who have reached out. Please get in touch at noah.law.mp@parliament.uk.
Thrilled that the Government has launched our much-awaited Warm Homes Plan, which will:
• Help tackle the affordability crisis
• Lifting up to 1 million families out of fuel poverty
• Deliver new rights for tenants
For millions, this plan will provide energy security and lower bills for good.
I’ve written to the PM to call for social media to be banned for under 16s. Social media adds little to no value to a childhood. It is damaging the wellbeing and development of future generations.

Thanks to the work of the Ryan's Law Campaign, Government has committed to tougher action on hit-and-run drivers that don't stop, as part of the new Road Safety Strategy 2026.
Government is consulting on strengthening motoring offences, which can be found here:

As capacity grows, as we get our grid in order, and as we wean ourselves off of gas barring exceptional peakload we will turn the tide on Britain's extortionate energy costs.
Phenomenal progress on clean energy from DESNZ⚡️
Delighted to, alongside @perranmoonmp.bsky.social, bring local Cornish businesses to No.10 to discuss the importance and potential of the critical minerals industry in Cornwall.
By 2035, it’ll be a £1billion industry providing thousands of new local jobs both directly and in related supply chains.
Storm Goretti has left many without access to broadband, internet, or rail for four days. This is completely unacceptable.
The Government has committed to improve infrastructure resilience in Cornwall, and providers must work with Government to get the remaining infrastructure back online ASAP.
Another Tory defection as 63-day ex-Chancellor Zahawi heads to Reform - perhaps they should change their name to Recycle?

The message from Ed Miliband and I has been clear: energy suppliers should pass on every penny of the £150 savings to consumers this April.
My update on their response ⬇️
which should reopen for passenger service shortly. We’re continuing to work across the rail industry and with national infrastructure partners to improve this situation and have services running safely again as soon as possible. (2/2)
From GWR: All lines in Cornwall remain closed following storm damage to the signalling system and fallen debris/trees, as well as issues on the local road network and power grid issues. We do not expect to run services in Cornwall for the rest of the day, apart from the Gunnislake branch (1/2)
Electricity issues may persist until Sunday. If you are vulnerable and in need of priority support for power restoration, please let me know immediately and I will ensure the relevant people are informed as soon as possible: noah.law.mp@parliament.uk
I will post further updates as I hear them.
I've been informed by National Grid that, from 2pm today, they will have a welfare hub set up at Newquay Library, TR7 1BD. All constituents affected by the ongoing power cuts can get warm food and drink from there - please don't hesitate to go along.
A reminder of my @politicshome.bsky.social story from Nov in which MPs called for the government to carry out a *proper* review of its use of X
We found out that the current review process is relatively informal & conducted without ministerial oversight on an ad hoc basis decided by officials
A good way to start the year: Europe finally on a journey to going green without shooting itself in the foot - a UK CBAM with a clear and phased transition can’t come soon enough.
Young people are our future. Too many 16-24 year olds have been struggling to find a job, get into training, or continue their studies.
Labour’s investing £820 million to help them out 🤝 1/2
The Holiday Activities & Food Programme is ON for 3 more years! Thank you @oliviabailey.bsky.social for valuing our holiday clubs.
One study found 9 in 10 parents worried less about money thanks to them 👨👩👧👦
The investment forms part of our strategy to lift 550,000 children out of poverty by 2030 🌹
