I’m in the stands at Korakuen Hall I. Tokyo right now watching the first night of the New Japan Cup tournament. Chase Owens is in the opening match, so don’t you ever tell me I don’t know about suffering.

“Text me some nudes so I know you got home safe” sounds like an adorable way to say good-bye.

In the middle of colouring a Muppets sketch cover and a pair of Copics die on me. Now, not only do I have to leave the apartment, I have to buy a marker for $9.29 and tax that I could get next week in Osaka for $4.25.

Blissfully unaware

The only downside to the whole thing is leaving Chloe with a friend. She has a veterinary appointment on Monday and that is already traumatizing enough for her. Poor little fur all has no idea what’s coming for her.

I hope to produce plenty of video blogs. I’ll be uploading them to YouTube and mirroring/linking them here. Short of doing a comic convention in the UK or somewhere, this could possibly be the last time I ever use my passport. I plan to enjoy it.

I don’t think I’ve mentioned it much anywhere but I’m finally going to Japan. In fact, I leave in nine short days. Tokyo and Osaka. Plenty of pro wrestling and sumo on the agenda. Plenty of nerd shopping and an art supply shop where Copic markers are less than half the price they are here.

I’ve been rewatching Game of Thrones. There is absolutely nothing interesting about the story of Theon Greyjoy.

Ronda Rousey vs Gina Carano? Is there any way for them BOTH to lose?

And when the convention is over, I’m gonna fly home and abandon human society for several days. I’m gonna mope around and pet my cat until she forgives me for having gone away and maybe draw some new sketch covers and try not to eat all the carbs and generally be a middle aged emotional wreck.

I’m in Vancouver and today in the last day of Fan Expo here and I’m sad and I don’t want to do any of this today but I’m gonna get up and shower and get dressed and pack and go to the convention centre and smile and talk to people all day and hopefully sell some comics cuz that’s how it works.

Managed to find an Absolute Wonder Woman blank variant yesterday at Fan Expo Vancouver. Now to actually draw something worthy of it!

I just saw the word “prayerformance” in a random IG bio and it would have hurt my feelings if I had any.

Sometimes I get Apu's fake white guy voice stuck in my head saying "the "nigh" Mets are my favorite squadron".

I want to win a Grammy so I can tell Ricky Gervais to fuck off to his face on live television.

Empty the prisons of everyone who was ever convicted for marijuana possession and fill those cells with everyone who ever shook hands with Jeffrey Epstein.

I just did the lightest, roughest layout for a Mickey Mouse sketch cover. It’s Mickey, loaded .45 Magnum in hand, kicking open a door to find Minnie in bed with Goofy.

Bought a blank Casper the Friendly Ghost cover because I want to get back to weird takes for my sketch covers. But frankly, I didn’t know what I was going to draw… until I remembered the scene from the Simpsons where Bart and Lisa speculate on how Casper became a ghost.
