My photo shows a museum display with colourful Minoan pottery cups arranged on three clear shelves, one above the other. These cups, known as Kamares Ware, are from Phaistos, Crete. They were made in palace workshops, c. 1800-1700 BC. The cups range in shape and size from conic and cylindrical cups (top and middle shelves) to hemispherical and carinated shaped cups (bottom shelf). They are decorated with multi-coloured geometric motifs; with spirals and swirls painted in red and white pigment on black.

It costs you nothing to respect trans people enough to use the right gendered language after being corrected. Refusing to do so is treating a core aspect of our humanity as conditional, and it shows us you're not someone we can trust as an ally.

You just need to be honest in what you’re asking, and stop demanding trans people go along with it. If you think Dems don’t need trans people’s votes to win and are willing to sacrifice trans people to defeat the GOP then have the decency to say that and stop trying to win trans folk over to it.

And if the Dems are allowed to succeed while embracing transphobia then trans people are fucked for a generation. The UK is our cautionary tale there.

So again, you’re asking trans people to sacrifice themselves for other pops (like yours) who will be safer, but they won’t. That’s a hard sell.
