The value of the dead is nothing
to the capitalist machine.

the cost of the dead is nothing
to the capitalist machine.

We must be more than machines
of capitalism.

Samsung says it adds fake detail to moon photos via β€œreference” photos When you know how the end result should look, how much AI is too much?

I recently learned about Samsung's algorithms to enhance moon photos on their phones. Somebody tech savvy should alter the software so it injects an image of the far side of the moon instead.

Kansas Sends Letters To Trans People Demanding The Immediate Surrender Of Drivers Licenses "The legislature did not include a grace period."

It seems all Kansas-issued trans drivers' licenses are invalid, effective tomorrow

It is now illegal for trans people to drive a car until they surrender their license at a DMV (that most will need to drive to) and have it reissued with the wrong gender marker

This was never about woman's sports

Be not afraid ye Minnesotans who voted Republican, for we'll think fondly of you when your medication runs out. Your passing will show the Democrats that the blood is on their hands.

In addition to politicians wearing Nascar-style sponsorship logo jackets, corporations need a page where they disclose which politician pulled the strings to open their billion-dollar government handouts/contracts.

A poem about fortune tellers? I suppose genre classification may depend on how good the fortune teller is!

Thanks for sharing.

The world is on fire, and the algorithm
just tossed me a horoscope. And look
I know that we're all star stuffβ€”
mysteries of the universe. Like gluten
we bond and rise in this oven-planet.
But extracting the mountain's heart,

stuffing it into a circuit board,
dressing it in a monkey hat, and
calling it intelligent is not
the same as consulting the stars.
Let computers be computers,
and if you're going to pray,

pray. Don't let the robot
do your soul searching. Look
up to the sky on a dark night
and wonder or calculate or
chat with your human neighbors
"what can I do about tomorrow?"
